The Commune of Otmuchów is a special
place that attracts with its beautiful scenery and a wide range of possibilities of
development. The cultural and business
centre of the commune is the town of Otmuchów, located on the left bank of the
Eastern Neisse, in the vicinity of the two
lakes: Otmuchowskie and Nyskie, which
undoubtedly encourages many tourists,
fans of water sports and antlers to relax
in the areas adjacent to the lakes. People
who wish to rest from everyday routine
and the tumult of the city may choose
from a wide range of places to stay, including agrotourism farms which do not
only offer accommodation but also a
close contact with nature. What attracts
the attention of visitors to our commune
is certainly the 13th century’s Castle towering over the town, with its exceptional
mediaeval history, and other historical
places that give the town an exceptional
character, such as the Baroque St Nicolas
and Francis Xavier Church or the town hall
with a unique solar clock. Thanks to the
care about beautiful historical places and
the support from the funds of the Euro-

Die Gemeinde Otmuchów (Ottmachau) ist
ein besonderer Ort, der mit landschaftlicher
Schönheit und vielfältigen Entwicklungsmöglichkeiten anlockt. Das kulturelle und
wirtschaftliche Zentrum der Gemeinde ist
die Stadt Otmuchów. Sie liegt am linken Ufer
der Nysa Kłodzka (Glatzer Neiße) in der Nähe
zweier Seen, dem Otmuchów See und dem
Nysa See (Ottmachauer und Neisser Staubecken), die für zahlreiche Touristen und Wassersportler eine echte Attraktion darstellen,
und auch Angler zur Erholung in die umliegenden Gebiete locken. Auf diejenigen, die dem
Alltagsstress und der städtischen Hektik entfliehen wollen, warten Hotellerie und auch
Bauernhöfe, die außer Unterkunft auch einen

becomes more and more beautiful every
day, and its assets do not only include the
nature but also cultural and other events.
What we take the greatest pride in is the
event called “The Summer of Flowers”,
taking place in July, which is famous in Poland and abroad. During the event the old
market square is transformed into a stage
surrounded by flowers, presenting the
beauty of flowers in the nature.
I would like to encourage you to visit the
commune of Otmuchów. It is a region
where one may take a good rest but it is
also a place where it is worth investing and
living.

nější skoro den ode dne a jejími přednostmi
je nejen samotná příroda a turistické atrakce, ale také zmodernizované objekty, společenské události a zábavy. Tím, na co jsme
obzvlášť hrdí, je již proslulá nejen v Polsku,

květů“, během níž se stává staré amfiteatrální náměstí pódiem obklopeným květinovými záhony, ukazujícími krásu květin

Pflege der Sehenswürdigkeiten und mit der
konsequenten Unterstützung durch EU-Mitteln, wird die Gemeinde Otmuchów von Tag
zu Tag schöner, sodass nun neben der Natur
und den touristischen Attraktionen auch modernisierte Objekte sowie Kultur- und Unterhaltungsveranstaltungen zu ihren Vorzügen
zählen. Besonders stolz sind wir auf die nicht
nur in Polen sondern auch schon jenseits der
Landesgrenzen bekannten Juliveranstaltung,
den „Blumensommer“, bei dem sich der einem Amphitheater ähnelnde Alte Markt in

A few words on the town’s history....
The oldest traces of the presence of people in the area of the Commune of Otmuchów, confirmed by the archaeological
research, come from the Stone Age (The
Mesolithic - 8000-4500 BC). However, the
first mentions of the town itself were included in the papal bull issued by Pope
Adrian IV in 1155, describing the events
related to the beginnings of the christianisation of Silesia and establishment of the
Diocese of Wrocław in the year 1000 by
the first King of Poland Bolesław Chrobry.
In 1347 Otmuchów was granted municipal
rights and remained the property of bishops till 1810. In the years 1820-1928 the
estate of Otmuchów belonged to the Humboldt family, while in 1945 Otmuchów was
restored to Poland.
Throughout centuries the town was a theatre of many wars, such as the Tatar Invasion, the Hussite Wars, the Thirty Years’
War, Silesian Wars and the WWII, after
which the town found it hard to raise from
the ruins. Fortunately, many works of architecture and art from the times of the
town’s greatness were preserved.They
are appreciated and admired by inhabitants and tourists to these days.
Několik slov o historii...
Pozůstatky nejstarších lidských obydlí na
území střediskové obce Otmuchów, potvrzené archeologickými průzkumy, pocházejí z doby kamenné, tzv. mezolitu (8000–
4500 let p. n. l.). První zmínky o samotném
městě se však nacházejí v bule papeže
Hadriána IV. z roku 1155, kde jsou uvedeny
události spojené s počátkem kristianizace
Slezska a založením v roce 1000 vratislavského biskupství prvním polským králem
Boleslavem Chrabrým. V roce 1347 Otmuchów získal městská práva, avšak do
roku 1810 byl biskupským lénem. V letech
1820–1928 otmuchovské statky patřily
rodu Humboldtů a v roce 1945 se Otmuchów ocitl v hranicích Polska.
V průběhu staletí město zažilo mnoho válek: tatarský nájezd, husitské války, třicetiletou válku, slezské války, II. světovou
válku, po kterých se město často jen stěží vzpamatovávalo ze svých ran. Naštěstí
z dob vzkvétání města se zachovaly mnohé
architektonické a umělecké památky, které do dnešního dne zdobí město a potěšují
tak oko obyvatel a turistů.

Die ältesten Spuren von menschlichen
Siedlungen auf dem Gebiet der Gemeinde Otmuchów, die durch archäologische
Forschungen bestätigt sind, stammen aus
der Mittelsteinzeit, dem sog. Mesolithikum
(8000-4500 v. Chr.). Die Stadt selbst erfährt
ihre erste Erwähnung in einer Bulle des Papstes Hadrian IV von 1155, in der die Ereignisse
im Zusammenhang mit der Christianisierung
Schlesiens und der Gründung des Bistums
Wrocław im Jahr 1000 durch den ersten König Polens, Bolesław I. Chrobry, beschrieben sind. Im Jahr 1347 erhielt Otmuchów die
Stadtrechte und blieb bis 1810 bischöfliches
Eigentum. War Otmuchów in den Jahren
1820-1928 im Besitz der Familie Humboldt,
kehrte es im Jahr 1945 nach Polen zurück.
Über die Jahrhunderte fegten viele Kriege
über die Stadt hinweg: die Invasion der Tataren, der Hussitenkrieg, der Dreißigjährige
Krieg, die Schlesischen Kriege und der Zweite
Weltkrieg, die es der Stadt oft schwer machten, sich aus ihren Trümmern zu erheben.

Najstarsze ślady siedzib ludzkich na terenie
Gminy Otmuchów, potwierdzone badaniami archeologicznymi pochodzą z czasów
epoki kamiennej tzw. Mezolitu (8000-4500
lat p.n.e.). Pierwsze wzmianki jednak na
temat samego miasta znajdują się w bulli
papieża Hadriana IV z 1155 roku gdzie opisane są zdarzenia związane z początkiem
chrystianizacji Ślaska i założeniem w roku
1000 przez pierwszego króla Polski Bolesława Chrobrego biskupstwa wrocławskiego. W roku 1347 Otmuchów uzyskał
prawa miejskie by do roku 1810 pozostać
własnością biskupią. W latach 1820-1928
natomiast posiadłości otmuchowskie należały do rodu Humboldtów a w roku 1945
Otmuchów powrócił do Polski.
Na przestrzeni wieków przetoczyło się
przez miasto wiele wojen: najazd tatarów,
wojna husycka, wojna trzydziestoletnia,
wojny śląskie, II wojna światowa po których niejednokrotnie miasto z trudem
dźwigało się z ruin. Na szczęście z okresów świetności miasta zachowały się liczne zabytki architektury i sztuki, które do
dnia dzisiejszego zdobią miasto ciesząc oko
mieszkańców oraz turystów.

w Rysiowicach, Pałacyk w Piotrowicach
Nyskich, Pawilon Myśliwski w Zwierzyńcu
czy kościół parafialny w Kałkowie.

Obwohl sich die Gemeinde Otmuchów konsequent weiterentwickelt, achtet man hier
gleichzeitig auf Tradition und pflegt das nationale Erbe sowie die schönen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Im ländlichen Gebiet verdienen
unter anderem das Schloss in Rysiowice,
das Herrenhaus in Piotrowice Nyskie, das
Jagdschloss in Zwiezyniec, oder die Pfarrkirche in Kałków besondere Aufmerksamkeit.
As regards the area of the town of Otmuchów, being the centre of the Commune,
its abounds with historical places, starting
with the Nyska (or Wróbla) tower-gate,
through which the inhabitants, tourists
and visitors enter the old town square. The
gate is the remains of the fortifications that
surrounded the town in the old times. The
Bishop’s Castle, erected in the 13th century
by Bishop Jarosław, overlooks the town. It
is a Gothic and Renaissance building with a
characteristic fortified tower. Below there
is beautiful Baroque St Nicolas and Francis
Xavier Church, erected in 1693, with superb
works of art, such as paintings by Michael
Willmann and frescoes by Karol Dankwart.
At the foot of the church there is an amazing
monument, the Marian Column, a Baroque
sculpture presenting Our Lady with Baby
Jesus.
Naopak území města Otmuchów tvořící
centrum střediskové obce přímo překypuje památkami, počínaje bránovou věží
pojmenovanou Niská nebo Vrabčí, která
přivádí obyvatele, turisty a hosty na náměstí. Je pozůstatkem městského opevnění obklopujícího město kdysi za dávných
časů. Nad náměstím se tyčí Biskupský zámek, který vybudoval biskup Jaroslav ve
13. století. Je to goticko-renesanční stavba
s charakteristickou obrannou věží. Níže se
nachází krásný barokní Kostel sv. Mikuláše
a Františka Xaverského, který byl postaven v roce 1693 a vyzdoben byl nejznamenitějšími uměleckými díly – obrazy mistra
Michala Willmana a také freskami Karola
Dankwarta. Zase na úpatí kostela se nachází neobvyklý pomník – Mariánský sloup
– barokní socha Madonny s děťátkem .
Die Stadt Otmuchów stellt das Zentrum der
Gemeinde dar, wo es von Sehenswürdigkeiten nur so wimmelt, begonnen bei dem Nyska
oder Wróbel genannten Turm-Tor, durch das
die Bewohner, Touristen und Gäste auf den
Alten Markt gelangen. Es ist ein Überbleibsel
der Befestigungsanlagen, mit der die Stadt
früher umgeben war. Über dem Alten Markt
thront das im XIII Jahrhundert von Bischof
Jarosław errichtete Bischofsschloss. Es ist
ein Gotik-Renaissance Bauwerk mit einem
charakteristischen Wehrturm. Unterhalb befindet sich die schöne, im Jahr 1693 erbaute
Barockkirche zum Hl. Nikolaus und Hl. Franz
Xaver, die mit herausragenden Kunstwerken
von Michael Willmann und Fresken von Karol
Dankwart ausgestattet ist. Am Fuße der Kirche befindet sich die Mariensäule – eine Barocke Skulptur der Madonna mit dem Kind.

Natomiast teren miasta Otmuchów stanowiący centrum Gminy wprost obfituje w zabytki począwszy od wieży-bramy
zwanej Nyską lub Wróbla wprowadzającą
mieszkańców, turystów oraz gości na Rynek. Jest ona pozostałością fortyfikacji
otaczających w dawnych czasach miasto.
Nad rynkiem góruje wzniesiony przez Biskupa Jarosława w XIII wieku Zamek Biskupi. Jest to budowla gotycko-renesansowa
z charakterystyczną wieżą obronną. Poniżej znajduję się piękny barokowy kościół
Św. Mikołaja i Franciszka Ksawerego wybudowany w 1693 roku i wyposażony w najznakomitsze dzieła sztuki-obrazy mistrza
Michała Willmana a także freski Karola
Dankwarta. U podnóży kościoła znajduje
się natomiast niezwykły pomnik-Kolumna
Maryjna-barokowa rzeźba Madonny z dzieciątkiem.

style with a unique and very precious solar clock , Neo-Gothic St. Anne’s Church located at Krakowska St. , and the Baroque
Świętokrzyska Chapel.
Z jiných památek hodných pozornosti je
třeba uvést pocházející z roku 1511 renesančně-barokní Radnici s unikátními a
neobvykle hodnotnými slunečními hodinami, novogotický Kostelík sv. Anny v ul.
Krakowskiej a také barokní Svatokřížskou
kapli.
Unter all den anderen interessanten Sehenswürdigkeiten sollte man auch das Renaissance-Barock Rathaus von 1511 mit seiner
einmaligen und außerordentlich wertvollen
Sonnenuhr, die neugotische St. Anna Kirche
in der ul. Krakowska sowie auch die barocke
Heiligenkreuz Kapelle erwähnen.

wymienić należy pochodzący z 1511 roku
renesansowo-barokowy Ratusz z unikatowym i niezwykle cennym zegarem słonecznym, neogotycki kościółek św Anny
przy ul. Krakowskiej a także barokową kaplicę Świętokrzyską .

Today the Commune of Otmuchów may
boast of its beautiful scenery and nature.
Thanks to the richness of the fauna and
flora the area of the Commune was partly
included in the protected landscape area.
What should receive special attention of
tourists - fans of nature is Otmuchowskie Lake, constructed in the years 192633, of the surface of 2 thou. ha and the
volume of 143 million m3. Today around
the lake there are located holiday resort
centres with sandy beaches and marinas, providing fans of summer relaxation
with perfect conditions for doing almost
every kind of water sports and angling.
The lake is popular with anglers from all
over Poland as a perfect perch-pike fishing
ground, surrounded by dark green meadows and fields, thanks to which the lake
and the surrounding reserve with a unique
natural habitat of the Grey Heron and numerous old trees, mainly birch trees and
oak trees, are very harmoniously located
in this scenery.

Dnes je středisková obec Otmuchów oblastí plnou krajinných a přírodních hodnot a
díky bohaté fauně a flóře bylo území střediskové obce vyhlášeno chráněnou krajinnou oblastí.
Zvláštní pozornosti turistů-milovníků přírody se těší Otmuchovské jezero vybudované v letech 1926–1933 s objemem 143
mln m³ na rozloze 2 tis. ha. Dnes se okolo
jezera nacházejí rekreační střediska s písčitými plážemi a přístavy, která zajišťují
milovníkům letního odpočinku dokonalé
podmínky pro pěstování skoro všech vodních sportů a rybolovu. Jezero je známé
mezi rybáři v celém Polsku jako vynikající loviště zejména candáta a jeho scenérii
tvoří tmavozelená pole a louky, což přispívá k tomu, že jezero a obklopující jej rezervace s jedinečným v tuzemském měřítku
hnízdištěm volavky popelavé a mnohými
exempláři starých stromů, hlavně bříz a
dubů, jsou velmi přirozeně a harmonicky
situovány ve zdejší krajině.
Natur
Heute ist Otmuchów eine Gemeinde voller
landschaftlicher und natürlicher Vorzüge, die
wegen ihrer reichhaltigen Fauna und Flora in
ein Landschaftsschutzgebiet eingebunden
wurde.
Die besondere Aufmerksamkeit der Touristen
und Naturliebhaber verdient das in den Jahren
1926-33 auf einer Fläche von 2000 ha errichtete Otmuchów Staubecken mit 143 Mio. m3
Volumen. Heute säumen Erholungszentren
mit Sandstränden und Bootshäfen die Seeufer, die den Sommerurlaubern hervorragende
Bedingungen für fast alle Wasser- und Angelsportarten bieten. Der von saftig grünen Wiesen und Feldern umgebene See ist insbesondere wegen des Zanders unter Anglern aus
ganz Polen als perfekter Fischgrund bekannt.
Das den See umgebende Reservat ist ein auf
landesweiter Ebene einmaliger Lebensraum
für Graureiher mit einem umfangreichen Altbaumbestand hauptsächlich aus Birken und
Eichen, die sich auf sehr natürliche und harmonische Weise in die hiesige Landschaft einfügen.

Dzisiaj Gmina Otmuchów jest obszarem
pełnym walorów krajobrazowych i przyrodniczych a dzięki bogatej faunie i florze
teren Gminy został w części włączony do
Obszaru Chronionego Krajobrazu.
Na szczególną uwagę turystów-miłośników przyrody zasługuje Jezioro Otmuchowskie wybudowane w latach 1926-33
na obszarze 2 tys. ha i pojemności 143 mln
m3. Dzisiaj na obrzeżach jeziora rozlokowane są ośrodki wypoczynkowe z piaszczystymi plażami i przystaniami zapewniające amatorom letniego wypoczynku
doskonałe warunki do uprawiania niemal
wszystkich sportów wodnych i wędkarstwa. Jezioro jest znane wśród wędkarzy całej Polski jako doskonałe łowisko
szczególnie sandacza a jego oprawę stanowią ciemnozielone pola i łąki., co sprawia że jezioro oraz otaczający je rezerwat
z unikalnym na skalę krajową siedliskiem

w ostatnich latach szereg prac modernizacyjnych i odzyskał dawną świetność. Pełni
on swoją funkcję nie tylko poprzez projekcję filmów oraz przystosowanie do sali
widowiskowej ale również poprzez realizację projektu z udziałem środków unijnych,
dzięki któremu obiekt wyposażono w 10
rowerów połączonych z prądnicą, która
napędzana siłą ludzkich mięśni wyświetla
film.
Solarium- obiekt rekreacyjno – wypoczynkowy. W ostatnich latach przeprowadzono
na jego terenie rewitalizację która m.in.
obejmowała nasadzenie nowych roślin,
utwardzenie nawierzchni tworząc ścieżki
spacerowe, stworzenie „kamiennej rzeki”,
zamontowanie ławek, stworzenie placu
zabaw oraz wymianę oświetlenia i monitoring. Wszystkie te działania doprowadziły
do powstania atrakcyjnego miejsca wypoczynku dla dzieci, młodzieży i dorosłych.

the cinema’s past splendour has been restored as a result of the performance of
many modernisation works. Apart from
showing films and adaptation to an auditorium, the cinema is also the place of the implementation of a project co-financed from
the funds of the European Union, as part of
which the building was equipped with 10
bikes connected with a generator, displaying a film with the use of the human power.
Solarium – relaxation facility. In the recent years it has undergone regeneration,
including (inter alia) planting new plants,
hardening the surface and making paths,
creation of the “stone river”, assembly
of benches, construction of a children’s
playground, change of the lighting and installation of the CCTV. All these activities
contributed to the creation of an attractive
place to rest for children, young people
and adults.
Orlik – publicly available sports facility equipped with two grounds: a football
ground and a multi-purpose sports ground.

Kino „Podzamcze“ – objekt kina byl v posledních letech několikrát modernizován
a získal dřívější lesk. Svou funkci plní nejen
promítáním filmů a přizpůsobením promítacímu sálu, ale také realizací projektu s
čerpáním unijních prostředků, díky kterému byl objekt vybaven 10 koly spojenými
s generátorem, který poháněn sílou lidských svalů promítá film.
Solárium – rekreačně-odpočinkový objekt.
V posledních letech byla provedena revitalizace jeho areálu, která mj. zahrnovala
vysázení nových rostlin, zpevnění povrchu
vytvořením procházkových stezek, vytvoření „kamenné řeky“, namontování lavic, vybudování dětského hřiště a výměnu
osvětlení a monitoring. Všechny tyto činnosti přispěly ke vzniku atraktivního odpočinkového místa pro děti, mládež i dospělé.

vybavený dvěmi hřišti: fotbalovým a multifunkčním.

In spring: traditionally before the Palm
Sunday, the Easter Feast takes place,
during which regional Easter dishes prepared by KGW operating in the commune
are presented, combined with the Eastern
market and a display of palms, dyed eggs
and Easter decorations. At the beginning
of May there is organised an event called
“Majówka”, during which amateur artistic
groups operating at MGDK in Otmuchów
present their skills. The event ends with
dancing to music played by a band.
Na jaře, tradičně před květnou nedělí, se
uskutečňuje Velikonoční b eseda, která je
prezentací regionálních jídel souvisejících
s velikonočními svátky, připravených Skupinami venkovských hospodyněk (KGW),
které působí na území obce, spojená s velikonočním jarmarkem a výstavou palem,
kraslic a velikonočních ozdob. V prvních
dnech května v plenéru zase probíhá akce,
obecně nazývaná jako „Majovka“, během
níž se představují amatérské umělecké
soubory působící při Městském obecním
kulturním domě (MGDK) v Otmuchowu.
Akce je zakončena taneční zábavou s hudební skupinou.

zu Fixpunkten im jährlichen Veranstaltungskalender gehören.
Frühling – Traditionell findet vor dem Palmsonntag in Verbindung mit dem Ostermarkt
und einer Palmen-, Ostereier- und Osterschmuckausstellung das Osterfestmahl
statt, bei dem vom auf dem Gemeindegebiet
tätigen KGW zubereitete regionale, mit dem
Osterfest verbundene Speisen Präsentiert
werden. Während an den ersten Maitagen die
allgemein als „Maifeier“ bezeichnete Freilichtveranstaltung stattfindet, bei der die im Städtischen Kulturhaus tätigen Amateur-Ensembles präsentieren. Die Veranstaltung endet
mit einem Tanzvergnügen in Begleitung einer
Musikgruppe.

the “Summer of Flowers” is organised
throughout the town, thanks to which for
many years Otmuchów has been known
all over Poland as the “Town of Flowers”.
It is a leading event held on a regular basis, devoted to displays of flowers. It is
accompanied by cultural and trade events.
The foreground display of the “Summer
of Flowers” is the display of cut flowers, taking place in the chambers of the
mediaeval Castle. What is a great attraction is displays in the open, creating on
the surface of ca. 4000 m2 fragrant and
colourful flowery gardens and accompanying events, during which tourists may
admire the works of folk artists, painters,
sculptors and photographers. The displays of minerals, flower compositions in
the glass, wicker furniture and works of
smiths are equally popular. These displays
may be admired in the chambers and the
underground of the castle, in the lounge
of the Municipal Office and in the centre of
Otmuchów on picturesque squares.
V létě v prvních červencových dnech se na
celém území města pořádá svátek s názvem „Léto květů“, díky kterému je Otmuchów již po mnoho let znám v celém Polsku
jako „Město květů“. Je to špičková pravidelná akce v zemi s výstavním a zábavním
charakterem věnovaná výstavě květin.
Doprovázejí ji kulturní a obchodní akce. Prvořadou výstavou „Léta květů“ je výstava
řezaných květin v sálech středověkého
zámku. Obrovskou atrakcí jsou plenérové
výstavy vytvářející na ploše více než 4000
m² voňavé a barevné květinové zahrady
a také doprovodné akce, které umožňují
turistům obdivovat práce lidových tvůrců, umělců, malířů, sochařů a fotografů
a stejně atraktivní jsou výstavy minerálů,
květinových kompozic ve skle, proutěného
nábytku a výrobků uměleckého kovářství.
Tyto výstavy lze obdivovat v sálech a podzemí zámku, v hale Městského úřadu, jakož
i v centru Otmuchowa na malebných pásech městské zeleně.

ganzen Stadtgebiet ein Fest mit der Bezeichnung „Blumensommer“ organisiert, wegen
dem Otmuchów seit vielen Jahren im ganzen
Land als „Blumenstadt“ bekannt ist. Es ist die
führende Veranstaltung mit Ausstellungsund Festcharakter im Land, die sich der Ausstellung von Blumen widmet. Sie wird von
zahlreichen kulturellen und kommerziellen
Veranstaltungen begleitet. Die primäre Ausstellung des Blumensommers ist die Schnittblumenschau in den mittelalterlichen Sälen
des Schlosses. Außerordentlich attraktiv ist
die Freilichtausstellung auf mehr als 4000
m2 Fläche mit duftenden und bunten Blumengärten und begleitenden Veranstaltungen, bei
denen Sie die Möglichkeit haben, die Werke
von Volkskünstlern, Malern, Bildhauern und
Fotografen zu bewundern. Ebenso attraktiv
sind die Mineralienschau, Blumenarrangements in Glas, Korbmöbel und Kunstschmiedearbeiten. Diese Ausstellungen können Sie in
den Sälen und Kellergewölben des Schlosses,
in der Halle des Stadtamts sowie im Zentrum
von Otmuchów auf malerischen Beeten in den
städtischen Grünanlagen genießen.

Latem w pierwszych dniach lipca na terenie
całego miasta organizowane jest święto
pod nazwą „Lato Kwiatów”, dzięki któremu
Otmuchów od wielu już lat znany jest w całym kraju jako „Miasto Kwiatów”. Jest to
wiodąca w kraju impreza cykliczna o charakterze
wystawienniczo-festynowym
poświęcona wystawom kwiatów. Towarzyszą jej imprezy kulturalne i handlowe.
Pierwszoplanową wystawą „Lata kwiatów” jest wystawa Kwiatów Ciętych na
salach średniowiecznego Zamku. Ogromną atrakcję stanowią wystawy plenerowe
tworzące na powierzchni ponad 4000 m2
pachnące i barwne ogrody kwiatowe oraz
imprezy towarzyszące dające turystom
możliwość podziwiania prac twórców ludowych, artystów malarzy, rzeźbiarzy
i fotografików a równie atrakcyjne są wystawy minerałów, kompozycji kwiatowych
w szkle, mebli wiklinowych i prac kowalstwa artystycznego. Wystawy te można
podziwiać w salach i podziemiach zamku,
holu Urzędu Miejskiego, jak również w centrum Otmuchowa na malowniczych skwerach zieleni miejskiej.
In autumn events are held in each village
to celebrate the end of the harvest. They
are summed up by the Municipal Harvest
Festival. The event starts with a colourful
procession in which harvest crowns performed by particular villages are carried,
followed by a field thanksgiving mass.
Folk bands perform on the stage and participants may have fun until late night. During the event numerous catering and trade
stalls are put up.
Na podzim tradičně v každém starostenství probíhají slavnosti spojené s tradičním
ukončením žní a jejich shrnutím jsou Obecní
dožínky. Akci zahajuje barevný průvod, ve
kterém jsou neseny dožínkové koruny vyráběné jednotlivými starostenstvími, po
čemž probíhá děkovná polní mše. Na scéně
se představují folklórní soubory a do pozdních nočních hodin je možné se účastnit
zábavy. Akci doprovázejí mnohé občerstvovací a prodejní stánky.
Herbst – Nach dem Einbringen der Ernte finden
traditionell in jedem Schulzenamt feierliche
Erntedankfeste statt. Diese Veranstaltungen
beginnen mit einem farbenfrohen Umzug, bei
dem die von den einzelnen Schulzenämtern
angefertigten Erntekronen getragen werden.
Zum Dank findet anschließen eine Feldmesse
statt. Während sich Folkloregruppen auf der
Bühne präsentieren, kann man sich bis in die
späten Nachtstunden vergnügen. Die Veranstaltung ist von zahlreichen Gastronomie- und
Verkaufsständen begleitet.

Jesienią tradycyjnie w każdym sołectwie
odbywają się uroczystości związane z tradycją zakończenia żniw a ich podsumowaniem są Dożynki Gminne. Impreza rozpoczyna się barwnym korowodem w którym
niesione są korony żniwne wykonane przez
poszczególne sołectwa po czym odbywa
się dziękczynna msza polowa. Na scenie
prezentują się zespoły folklorystyczne
a do późnych godzin nocnych można wziąć
udział w zabawie. Imprezie towarzyszą
liczne stoiska gastronomiczne i handlowe.

Cinema in Otmuchów there is held “Herody” festival of carol bands and a carol concert. Carollers’ groups from all over the
Commune take part in the festival. As regards the concert of carols, during which
the most beautiful Polish carols are sung
by amateurs from MGDK, everyone may
take part in the singing.

Sternsinggruppen und ein Weihnachtsliederabend statt. Während an der Revue die im
Gemeindegebiet bestehenden Sternsinggruppen teilnehmen, werden beim Weihnachtsliederabend die schönsten polnischen Weihnachtslieder von den Amateurgruppen des
Städtischen Kulturhauses vorgetragen. Beim
gemeinsamen Singen der Weihnachtslieder
kann jeder teilnehmen.
