PRAGOVAC 2004
Byť měl tradiční seminář a setkání uživatelů a dodavatelů vakuové techniky PRAGOVAC
v roce 2004 pořadové číslo 13, proběhl šťastně a úspěšně ve středu 24. listopadu jako obvykle
v prostorách Menzy 17. listopadu za účasti 16 firem a dovozců působících na českém trhu.
V úvodu semináře účastníky letos pozdravili spolu s předsedou ČVS doc. Maškem i vzácní
hosté, předsedové vakuových společností Německa a Švýcarska, Udo Beeck a Urs O. Waelchli.
Jako každoročně zveřejňujeme v tomto čísle některé materiály ze semináře, pokud nám je
vystavovatelé do uzávěrky dodali.

9th European Vacuum Conference (EVC-9)
Paris (France), April 5 - 7, 2005
EVC-9 will be held in conjunction with Vide 2005, the Vacuum Exhibition which is annually
organised by the Manufacturer Committee of the French Vacuum Society (SFV), and with the
celebration of the 60th anniversary of the SFV, the oldest formally organised national vacuum
society.
A short course program will be organised prior to the conference, on Monday April 4, 2005.

15th International Colloquium on Plasma Processes CIP 05
Grenoble / Autrans (France), June 5 – 9, 2005
The 15th International Colloquium on Plasma Processes CIP´05 will be held at Autrans (near
Grenoble in France) from June 6th to June 9th 2005. It is organized by the French Vacuum
Society (SFV).
The Organising and Scientific committees of CIP´05 chose to hold the Colloquium near an
important area of industrial users of plasma technology. Furthermore, Autrans is a beautiful site
in the Alps.
Prior to the start of CIP´05, three half days will be dedicated to intensive courses (5-6 June). An
internatinal exhibition will be held during the Colloquium, on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The 23rd European Conference on Surface Science (ECOSS 23) will be held in Berlin
(Germany), September 4-9, 2005. Previous conferences of this series were held in Vienna
(1999), Madrid (2000), Krakow (2001), Malmo (2002), and in Prague (2003).

15. KONFERENCIA SLOVENSKÝCH A ČESKÝCH FYZIKOV
Areál ústavov SAV v Košiciach 5.- 8.9.2005
Pokračovanie série tradičných stretnutí slovenských a českých fyzikov sa
koná v Svetovom roku fyziky, ktorým si pripomíname sté výročie „annus
mirabilis“. Stretneme sa v Košiciach zároveň po opätovnom symbolickom
zjednotení vzhľadom na členstvo v EÚ. Konferencia si kladie za cieľ
predstaviť pokrok dosiahnutý od konferencie v Plzni v roku 2002,
dosiahnutú úroveň a najnovšie výsledky bádania v odboroch fyziky
pestovaných v našich krajinách, ako aj vo fyzike vôbec. Vzhľadom na
nové podmienky by sa mala pokúsiť hľadať odpovede na otázky o postavení
fyziky a perspektívach jej ďalšieho rozvoja. Tomu bude zodpovedať aj
program konferencie, s ťažiskom na plenárnych prednáškach a
prehľadových prednáškach, ktoré odznejú na zasadaniach v sekciách.
Sekcie budú v rámci možností odrážať štruktúru odborných skupín SFS a
FVS JČMF a bude v nich priestor na prezentovanie pôvodných výsledkov v
kratších referátoch alebo na výveskách.

The ECASIA’05 will be held at the facilities of theVienna University of Technology, which is
located in the immediate vicinity of the city center.

The aim of the biennial European Conference on Appli-cations of Surface and Interface
Analysis (ECASIA) is to bring together scientists from industry, academia, government and

In the past decades, a significant development of surface analytical tools has taken place.
However, at the same time, the focus of interest for the clients of surface technology has
experienced a shift to-wards controlling the surface properties rather than merely characterizing
the surface. Therefore, surface modification and functionalization, or more generally, surface
engineering will be a topic of special interest at the ECASIA’05.
At the time of the conference, several eastern European countries will have joined the European
Union. The ECASIA'05 would like to seize this opportunity to welcome scientist in these
countries into the international community of surface and interface analysis. The organizing
committee will reserve funds for additional financial support for participants from these
countries to ensure that the integration in this field proceeds as swiftly as possible.
Exhibition
Presentation of state-of-the-art equipment for surface analysis as well as corresponding
accessories will take place at the exhibition during ECASIA’05. The exhibition area is located

in between the lecture halls, poster area, area for the coffee breaks and the internet terminal
rooms, thereby providing an excellent opportunity for the exchange of the latest information in
relevant fi elds.

Česká vakuová společnost vlastní internetovou doménu
Na 40. schůzi výboru ČVS bylo rozhodnuto o zaregistrování internetové domény druhého řádu
a tím vytvoření jednoduchých a lehce zapamatovatelných adres pro komunikaci. Nezávislost na
dodavateli prostoru a konektivity dovolí postupně zlepšovat služby na stránkách ČVS a zajistí
stálost adres i přes některé technické změny, které mohou nastat.
Registrace a přesun proběhl na podzim roku 2004 a již při přihlašování na Pragovac 2004 již
mnozí využili možností, které nové umístění webových stránek poskytuje. Většina návštěvníků
loňského Pragovacu se přihlásila elektronicky a zjednodušila tak administrativu kolem přípravy
tohoto setkání. Doufáme, že budete s novými možnostmi spokojeni a také jich hojně využijete.
