It worked in the past but not nowadays. Today, there are many fashion trends which can even change very quickly. Fashion designers take care about the latest trends and they always want to come up with something new. However, there are still some occasions where you have to be well-dressed – for example balls, weddings, funerals, when you go for an interview, to the theatre or opera. You have to wear a uniform in some jobs or professions like policemen, flight attendants, firefighters, waiters, nurses, soldiers or even students at schools. You have to be smart-dressed if you work as a businessman, a politician, a secretary or a bank manager. Tell something about you: What do you like to wear? What clothes do you prefer? What do you wear in summer and in winter? Would you like to wear a uniform at your school? Do you like fashion? Where do you buy your clothes? Women are, maybe, more interested in fashion than men. There are many well-known fashion designers – Dior, Channel, Versace, Yves Saint-Laurent. New York, Paris and Rome are the top fashion cities where you can find many boutiques. Questions: Are you interested in the world of fashion? Would you like to work in the fashion industry? What are your favourite clothes? What do you usually wear in summer/winter? Would you like to wear a uniform at your school? Do you know any well-known fashion designers? Would you like to work as a model? Do you believe in an old saying “Clothes make the man”? Do you judge people by the first impression (dress, hairstyle)?
