Primary school Rokytnice in Vsetín was established in 1979. We will celebrate
30. anniversary our school this year. We were typical for the extended education of math and
natural science for years. With an activation of ŠVP (School Educational Programme) we are
interested in three specific sections which can differentiate our school from the others.
Information and communication technology
The school disposes of two IT classrooms with internet and with other digital technics
(scanner, dataprojector, digital camera). Thanks of new extended IT education we can offer to
our pupils:

Science subjects and environmental education
We have got an extended education of these subjects - thanks of our directivity and ŠVP, too.
Our pupils practise their skills in laboratory works or in project activities. Our school works
successfully in EVVO for years, mainly in projects with natural science theme. We can offer
to our pupils:

Participation in national and internetional projects (GLOBE, Karbon Cycle, Acid rains,
Eratosthenes, ENO and so on) – our school achieved an important national and
international success in past.

Education of foreign languages
Our other priority is language education. Pupils have got English lessons from the 3rd class
according to a new school educational programme. Pupils can choose second foreign
language - German in the 7th class.

If pupil doesn´t choose second language, he has got 1 other English lesson for a week
Our school has got 355 pupils in 18 clasrooms currently. We have got 44 permanent
employees and 32 of them are pedagogical employees. There are 18 classrooms, 2 IT
classrooms, special classroom for natural science and geography, physics and chemistry,
classroom for musical appreciation, relaxation room, 2 gyms, 3 departments of public nursery
and clubroom of the school club. We would like to have some special classroom for foreign
languages and ceramic workroom in the future. We use school garden and school ground for
the education, too.
Sports and other school activities
Primary school Rokytnice has got 2 reconstructed gyms including social settlement (pupils
can have a shower after PE).
