NEWSLETTER NO. 8/2015 PERSONAL EFFECTS SHIPMENT TO CANADA Dear Customers, U.S. & Canada customs reinforce new rules regarding personal effects. From now on they want to see on the HB/L and our customs document the actual name and address of the importer of the personal effects. If is moving company they can appear under notify party. Customs no longer will accept documents stating the importer name C/O “ABC moving company” and the address of the moving company. We already start having rejected files because of this issue and we have to contact consignee and get all the necessary documents from them.
