The BLOKK architect studio Ltd. was established in 2011.
Our primary goal is to produce architecture that meets today’s standards and
needs, that speaks to a changing world. Although BLOKK Studio mainly
specializes in architecture and design, we make it a point to take organizational
and directional part in numerous cutting-edge events and workshops which
provide students with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, which help
build communities and strengthen cultural and social ties. Furniture design,
installation art, stage design are also included in our profile. Blokk team designs
and builds stages and installations of wood for Sziget festival. Our latest
installation Woodwox was a huge analog instrument what we built at
Hellowood festival. Many people could play music and also resonate in the body
of the instrument. Sensing Creature is the development of Woodwox idea.

Sensing Creature - international traveller installation
Sensing Creature is an enormous, travelling musical instrument, an inter-media
installation, an interactive playground of the senses, a continuously developing
work that is the result of combining the arts; it is a travelling archive and an
ever-expanding database. In essence, over the course of its travels it gathers
information that affects the various senses (vision, hearing, touching, tasting) in
a given city where it is temporarily residing; visitors are going to be able to
experience these sensory fragments within the framework of a community
event - in a way that is utterly atypical.
The Creature has circumnavigated Europe. Her body is composed of modules,
components that may be listed one after another. It is composed of many large
sized, interconnected resonators, with the components generating stimuli
affecting the various senses in an atypical manner. Over the course of its
journey, it devours a cavalcade of stimuli (sounds, images, feelings, stories,
recipes, flavours, sensations, melodies, sound fragments, ideas, magnified urban
details, sections of buildings that have escaped notice to date). The artists and
creative people in a given city collect the stimuli prior to the arrival of the
Creature. She stores them in her body, organizes the accumulated information
and emits them in an atypical manner - through various digital and analogue
channels. This is how the Creature's body becomes a special converter.
Many visitors together can evoke sounds, images, vibrations, flavours and
scents from the Creature, giving birth to a nightly community performance
event - combined with dance and a film screening, affecting alll the senses - with
a database and archive at the end of the journey.
By the end of the road, an online database is born from the work of
participating artists and recorded materials. The travel gives rise to a blog and
later a website. A book and a CD is going to be published from the collected
stories and sounds of the trip, something that is going to be understandable,
exciting and familiar for all of Europe.
Sensing Creature was born to open our eyes to the world swirling around us, to
our immediate and broader environment, to the people who are living-sensing
all around us.
She shall teach us to rediscover the joy in the surrounding world on the level of
elementary sensations - by using the latest digital and simplest analogue
technologies.
The Creature is a city healing tool as well, someone who is bringing life to
problematic, unused sites and urban areas.

We are seeking partners who can
- contribute to undertaking the Journey with vehicles, digital equipment,
organization, advertising or any other form of support
- can provide a station/site for the Creature (host organizations). The
station can be an empty or an industrial lot, factory building, park, etc.
- an artist in the fields of Multimedia art, music, sound design, film,
photography, food design, performing art, installation art, sociology,
urban design, who is able to contribute to expanding the Creature's
database with his/her works, consequently, to giving birth to these
performances.
- an artist who works with food - a chef, etc, who assists in the
manifestation of the Creature in the realm of flavours
