POPIS AKTIVITY:
4. Vytvořte si různé sady obrázků, které si zalaminujte a nastříhejte pro každé
dítě (v danou chvíli mají všichni stejnou sadu).
5. S dětmi nejdříve zopakujte slovíčka z balíčku, který chcete používat.
6. Poté si s nimi zkuste slovíčka různě skládat:
a) ta, co začínají na stejné písmeno
b) ta, co mají stejný počet písmen
c) ta, co mají ve slově zdvojené písmeno atd.
7. Pak přejděte k poslechové činnosti. Úkol spočívá v tom, že učitel vypráví
jednoduchý příběh a děti, jakmile uslyší některé slovíčko z obrázku, sestavují
si je za sebe tak, jak jdou za sebou v příběhu. Na závěr si zkontrolujeme
správnost.

8. Připravte si nějaký text, např. pohádku nebo nějaké povídání a napište jej

9. Každému dítěti dejte kousek textu. Děti mají za úkol barevnou pastelkou

10.Poté si pohádku s dětmi společně přečtěte, každý čte svoji část.
VARIANTA:
1. Pokud to dětem dělá problémy, pracujte společně a všem dejte stejný

POPIS AKTIVITY:
11. Hra může být krátká na úvod hodiny či na zpestření, nebo delší a motivační se
soutěživým charakterem. Vyberte slovíčka (6 – 8), která chcete s dětmi procvičit, ale musí
být vybrána tak, aby na sebe navazovala a tvořila písmenkový kruh. (např. mouse,
elephant, T-shirt, tiger, run, nose, ear, room).
12. Tato slovíčka můžete nejdříve s dětmi namalovat a přitom procvičovat jejich výslovnost
nebo je mohou děti namalovat za domácí úkol anebo můžete použít obrázky slovíček
z různých flash cards či z přílohy 1.
13. Rozdělte děti do skupin podle počtu. Každá skupina má buď stejné, nebo jiné obrázky.
Pokud mají stejné obrázky, vidíte okamžitě nejrychlejšího vítěze. Pokud mají jiné obrázky,
zapisujte rychlost jednotlivých skupin a poté vyměňte všechny sady v jednotlivých
skupinách.
14. Rozmístěte obrázky buď ve třídě na zemi, nebo někde venku – na louce, v lese.
První dítě běží a vybere nějaký obrázek. Druhé v pořadí musí vědět, co je to za slovo, aby
správně vybral navazující obrázek, a tak až k poslednímu obrázku. Vyhrává skupina, která
má úkol splněný nejrychleji a samozřejmě správně.
VARIANTA:
1. Děti mohou na přiložený papír napsat slovíčka v angličtině i jejich překlad do češtiny.

POPIS AKTIVITY:
15. Děti si rozdělte na skupiny cca po 3-4. Na zem rozložte napsaná slovíčka do několika
„hnízd“ zvlášť pro každou skupinu. Pokud hru hrajete v přírodě, označte např. barevným
krepovým papírem stromy, u kterých budou na zemi „hnízda“ se slovíčky.
16. V každém „hnízdě“ (může jich být 5-10 dle času, který chcete hře věnovat) je 4-5 kartiček
stejného slova, které chcete procvičit, napsaného 1x správně a ostatní chybně.
17. Děti mají za úkol vybrat správně napsaná slovíčka z jednotlivých „hnízd“, vrátit se zpět na
začátek trasy a přiřadit jim správné české slovíčko.

POPIS AKTIVITY:
18. Připravte si skupiny slovíček, která chcete procvičit nebo využijte slovíčka z přílohy.
Rozmístěte slovíčka po třídě, lépe však venku po lese nebo v nějakém větším prostoru.
Slovíčka očíslujte.
Pozn. Tato aktivita je trochu časově náročná na přípravu pro učitele, doporučuji proto
spojit s aktivitou č. 4.
Na tabuli nebo nějaký větší papír napište slova nadřazená (např. colours, food, clothes,
numbers, vehicles, furniture, animals, body, adjectives, verbs atd.) a tato slova umístěte
na jedno místo, zvlášť pro každou skupinu. (Vyberte si počet tematických okruhů podle
toho, kolik jich chcete procvičit, doporučuji však 3-4).
19. Rozdělte děti zhruba do 5 skupin. Slovíčka umístěna na stromech jsou ve formě rastru,
aby si je děti mohly pouze utrhnout a všechny posbírat. Pro kontrolu, zdali mají všechna
slovíčka, slouží čísla.
20. Děti mají za úkol posbíraná slovíčka přiřadit ke slovům nadřazeným. Tato hra může mít
soutěžní charakter. Vyhrává skupina, která je nejrychlejší a má všechno správně.
VARIANTA:
1. Děti nemají k dispozici slovíčka ve formě rastru, tudíž musí slovíčka opsat na papír,
procvičují tím i psanou formu slov.

2. Obtížná varianta pro starší či šikovné žáky – můžete využít práci se slovníkem, nejlépe se
slovníkem v pracovním sešitě, tzn. zařadit mezi známá slovíčka několik dosud
neprobraných, jejichž význam si děti musí vyhledat ve slovníku.

POPIS AKTIVITY:
21. Tato krátká aktivita může být použita kdykoli v hodině nebo při zábavném procvičování
jazyka. Můžete si vytvořit zásobník svých pracovních listů dle probíraných slovních
okruhů k procvičování nebo použít PL z přílohy.
22. Děti mají za úkol vždy zakroužkovat nebo vybarvit slovíčko, které do daného řádku
nepatří. Tato slovíčka pak přepíší do přiložené tabulky. Pokud slovíčko neznají, vyhledají
si jej ve slovníku. Pokud je dostatek času, mohou napsat vysvětlení, proč vybraly zrovna
tohle slovíčko.
VARIANTA:
1. Děti mohou do tabulky napsat i překlad do češtiny.
2. Obtížná varianta pro starší či šikovné žáky – děti mohou sestavit jednoduchý příběh ze slov
z tabulky.

POPIS AKTIVITY:
23. Děti si rozdělte podle počtu ve třídě na 3 velké skupiny. Jedna skupina pracuje např. v
pracovním sešitě, další si čte, či pracuje na interaktivní tabuli a poslední pracuje u tabule.
Skupinu u tabule rozdělte na dvojice. Na zem rozložte napsaná slovíčka zvlášť pro každou
skupinu. Slovíček je 8-12.
24. Děti mají za úkol si slovíčka přečíst a pak je poskládat na tabuli pomocí magnetek jako
hada (navazující slovo vždy začíná na poslední písmeno slova předcházejícího). Poté
napíší český překlad pod jednotlivá slovíčka. Měli byste mít pro každou skupinu jiná
slovíčka. Jednodušší je, když jim označíte první slovo.
25. Dětem můžeme změřit čas nebo jen kladně oceníme všechny, kteří to zvládnou.

1. Ve třídě nebo lépe na chodbě či někde venku rozmístěte očíslovaná slova. Vytvořte si
2 sady. Žáci chodí nebo běhají s podložkou a perem, vyhledávají slova, zapisují do
tabulky ve správném pořadí a tvoří věty.

Věty znamenají pro děti určitý úkol, který musí splnit. Pokud nerozumí některým
slovíčkům, vyhledají si je ve slovníku nebo se mohou poradit s kamarádem či učitelem.

POPIS AKTIVITY:
2. Připravte si, co chcete procvičit. Na tabuli napište buď nějaká slovíčka (mohou být
anglicky nebo česky) nebo některé prvky gramatiky (sloveso být – am, is are, sloveso mít
– have got, has got,) nebo cokoli složitějšího.
3. Rozdělte děti do dvojic, dejte jim do ruky plácačky na mouchy. Říkejte jim slovíčka
v češtině, oni se podívají na tabuli, a jakmile najdou odpovídající anglické slovíčko,
plácnou na něj. Pokud procvičujete gramatiku, říkejte jim části vět a oni plácají na
správný tvar slovesa, zájmena atd. Počítejte jim body. Vyhrává ten, kdo rychleji „plácl“ na
více slov.

4. Připravte si kartičky se složitějšími slovy. Rozdělte děti do 2-3 skupin. Děti v každé
skupině stojí v řadě za sebou. Vždy na několik sekund ukažte dětem slovíčko a hned jej
zase schovejte.
5. Děti mají za úkol si slovíčko přečíst a co nejrychleji ho napsat na tabuli. Bod získává ta
skupina, která má slovo správně napsané.
VARIANTA:
1. Pro menší děti zvolte místo psaní slova výběr adekvátního českého slova nebo obrázku
nebo jen jeho pouhé vyslovení.

Characters: The storyteller, The Fox, The Hare, The Cock, The Dogs, The Bear,
The Bull
The storyteller: Once upon a time there was a one small Hare who made his
little cottage from the bark and the Fox who made his little cottage from the
ice. When the spring came, Fox´s cottage melted but Hare´s remained.
One day the Fox came to the Hare´s cottage.
The Fox: „Please, my friend, can I warm up in your cottage?“
The Hare: „Yes, of course!“
The storyteller: The Fox entered into the cottage and drove the Hare out of
his house. The Hare is going away and crying. Two dogs are going against

The storyteller: The king is going around in circles in the wood. He is coming
to the hut, where the Burner lives with his family.

The Burner: „Of course, you can. You can sleep in the loft on the hay. Tgere
is enough place. Tomorrow morning I am going to show you a way from the
wood.“
The storyteller: King is laying in the loft and watching through the hole three

1st Weird Sister: „This boy will be in a big danger very often!“
2nd Weird Sister: „This boy will have good luck and every danger

eat one, he was younger and wasn´t ill. But that apple tree hasn´t had any
apples for 20 years. If you promise me to ask the Grandpa Sun about that

The Floatingman: „I will ask him, I promise! Please show me the way!“

coming to the town. There is a Gravedigger and he is burying somebody
dead.
The Gravedigger: „Where are you going guy?“

somebody drink that water and he was ill, he was healthy immediately. But

The storyteller: The Gravedigger is showing him the way. He is finding only
an old woman in the castle.

The Floatingman: „Weird Sister? So you must know where the Grandpa

The Grandma: „Stay calm, my darling! There isn´t anybody here. You are
flying all day around the world and you have human´s smell in your nose. Lay
down and give your head to my wedge.
The storyteller: The Grandpa Sun is falling asleep. The Grandma is tearing up
the first hair.
The Grandpa Sun: „Mum, what are you doing? Why are you waking me up!“

Three Apples
Characters: The storyteller, the King, the Prince Jeremy, the Hag, the Witch, the
Silver Giant, the Gold Giant, the Princess Brownie, the Princess Blackie, the
Princess Blondie
The storyteller: The King is sitting on a throne, talking with the Prince.
The King: „Dear son, I’m too old. You have to get married! I would like to see
your bride and bless her. “
The Prince: „I would like to get married, father, but I don´t know where I should
look for my wife. I don’t know any good and nice girl!“
The King: „I know about one Princess, but you have to go far away to achieve
her, until you reach the Glass Hill. There is a tree and on that tree there are
three apples. If you pluck them, you will find your bride.”
The Prince: „And where is the Glass Hill? How can I get there?.“
The King: „I don’t know. Just go somewhere and ask people for some help.“
The storyteller: The Prince is arriving to the house of Hag.
The Prince: „Hey! Hallo! Who lives here?“
The Hag: „Why are you asking? First tell me who are you and what are you
looking for?! I have never seen here any birds, any beetles neither a person. If
my son finds you, he will eat you. Run away!”

The Prince: „Oh no, grannie, no, no! I came just for an advice. I’m looking for
the Glass Hill. Please, help me!“
The Hag: „I’ve never heard about that. But you can wait for my son, perhaps he
knows something. Hide in a pantry and don’t come out until I say.”
The storyteller: The Prince is entering to the pantry.
The Silver Giant: „I smell some human! Mother, who’s here with you?”
The Hag: „Calm down, dear son! Young Prince Jeremy came here to ask you for
an advice. I will call him here, but you have to promise me that you won’t hurt
him!”
The Silver Giant: „An advice? All right, I won’t hurt him.”
The Hag: „The Prince Jeremy! Come here! My son will advise you.“
The Silver Giant: „What do you want, human worm? Speak quickly, I’m
hungry.”
The Prince: „What do I want? I’m looking for a way to Glass Hill. If you know
about it, please, help me.”
The Silver Giant: „I’ve never heard about that. But go to the Gold castle where
my brother lives and ask him. He will certainly know the way. Take some silver
chips with you so you won’t be hungry and you will need them.”
The storyteller: The Prince says thank you and continues on the way. In a few
minutes he stops near a house of a witch!“
The Prince: „Hey! Hallo! Who lives here?“

The Witch: „Why are you asking? First tell me who are you and what are you
looking for?! I have never seen here any birds, any beetles neither a person. If
my son finds you, he will eat you. Run away!”

The Witch: „I’ve never heard about that. But you can wait for my son, perhaps

The storyteller: The Prince hides away and the Gold Giant is approaching.
The Gold Giant: „I smell some human! Mother, who’s here with you?”
The Witch: „Calm down, dear son! Young Prince Jeremy came here to ask you
for an advice. I will call him here, but you have to promise me that you won’t
hurt him!”
The Gold Giant: „An advice? All right, I won’t hurt him.”
The Hag: „The Prince Jeremy! Come here! My son will advise you.“
The Gold Giant: „What do you want, human worm? Speak quickly, I’m hungry.”
The Prince: „What do I want? I’m looking for a way to Glass Hill. If you know
about it, please, help me.”
The Gold Giant: „The Glass Hill isn’t far from here. Look through the window.
Can you see the hill above that forest? That’s it. But I’m not sure if you will be
able to reach that hill. Take some gold chips with you. You may need them.”
The Prince: „Thank you, Gold Giant! I will climb there!”

The storyteller: Prince is arriving to the Glass Hill and he can’t climb up.
The Prince: „I can’t climb up! That chips in my pockets are too heavy! I will
throw them away.”
The storyteller: He throws them in front of himself and they make the stairs.
The Prince: „Oh, I see! I will go up the stairs easily.”
The storyteller: He gathers three apples and goes back home.
The Prince: „I’m on the way for ages and I haven’t seen any house or human
yet. Who will give me something to eat and drink? There’s no one here. I will
eat one apple. There will still be two others.”
The storyteller: He bites into the apple and a beautiful girl appears on the road.
The Prince: „Who are you?”
The Princess Blackie: „I’m Princess Blackie.”
The Prince: „And what do you want?”
The Princess Blackie: „Did you prepare any food for me? Did you prepare any
drink for me? Did you prepare any dress for me?”
The Prince: „I´m sorry,I didn’t, Princess Blackie. I have nothing to eat too.”
The Princess Blackie: „Then goodbye! Go on by yourself.”
The Prince: „That’s a strange apple. I will try the second one. There will still be
one left.”
The storyteller: He bites into the apple and a beautiful girl appears on the road.

The Princess Brownie: „I’m Princess Brownie.”
The Princess Brownie: „Did you prepare any food for me? Did you prepare any
The Prince: „I´m sorry,I didn’t, Princess Brownie. I have nothing to eat too.”
The Princess Brownie: “Then goodbye! Go on by yourself.”
The Prince: „That’s strange. I’ll try the last one.”
The storyteller : Again, some beautiful girl appears.
The Princess Blondie: „I’m Princess Blondie.”
The Princess Blondie: „Did you prepare any food for me? Did you prepare any
The Prince: „Yes, I did, Princess Blondie. Just come with me to my father’s
castle and you will get what you wish.”
The Princess Blondie: „That is a good answer. Now I can live with you till I die.”
The Prince: „Let’s go to my father’s castle and you will become my wife!”

Characters: The storyteller, Tomcat, the Wizard, George, the Rustic, the King,
the Doorman
The storyteller: George is going on the road carrying a bag with a Tomcat.
Tomcat: „Miaow, miaow, George! Where are you going with me? “
George: „I’m going to the market in the town and I will sell you there.“
Tomcat: „Miaow, miaow, George! Don’t sell me, you would regret it. Let me go
out of here! I will tell you what would you do to be a great Lord. ”
George: „Great Lord? I would like to be one. OK then, I will let you go.“
Tomcat: „Good choice, good… But remember, you will always have to do what I
tell you. “
George: „I will. I don’t think it will be hard. So, tell me what you want. “
Tomcat: „Go to the city and buy some boots with spurs there, a hat with some
feathers, and a big bag for me. Meanwhile, I will wait for you here. ”
The storyteller: George is going away and then back in a moment with all the
things. : „Here you are!“
Tomcat: „Thank you.”
The storyteller : He is putting on the boots and the hat.

George: „Oh, I can hardly recognize you. It suits you. Why are you gathering the
leaves into the bag? ”
Tomcat: „That’s for rabbits. You know, our king’s favourite dish is roast rabbit.”
George: „I know. But how will you catch the rabbit? They’re rare here. ”
Tomcat: „There’s a plenty of them on the Rabbit Hill. I will give the leaves into
the bag and the rabbits will get there easily. I will just tie the bag and it will be
done.“
The storyteller: He is lying down under the tree and the rabbits are going inside
the bag; after a while he jumped up and tie the bag.
Tomcat: „Wow, they’re heavy.”
The storyteller: He is running to the castle.
Tomcat: „Hello, doorman! Open the door! I’m bringing a bag full of rabbits for
our king.”
Doorman: „Well, come in. You will be welcomed. Our king thinks about rabbit
roast every day. ”
The King: „Who’s at the door? “
Doorman: „Just some messenger. “
The King: „Who are you? And what’s your name?”
Tomcat: „I’m a Valet of Earl from Millhood and I have a bag full of rabbits for
you. They are from my master.“

The King: „Earl from Millhood? I’ve never heard about him. But send him
greetings and thanks from me. I’d like to meet him. I will visit him in the
afternoon. ”
Tomcat: „My Lord will be delighted! He will greet you on his castle and give you
a big treat.”
The storyteller: Tomcat is running to George, who is sitting on the shore of a
pond.
Tomcat: „Hurry up, George! Your luck is approaching. You will have a visit. Our
King himself is arriving this afternoon.”
George: „What?! The King is coming to me for a visit? And where? Here near
the pond?”
Tomcat: „Don’t worry. I will organize everything. You will get amazing clothes
and a huge castle. You will welcome and treat the King very well. Now undress
yourself and jump into the pond. ”
George: „Why? I don’t want to be wet.“
Tomcat: „Listen to me and don’t ask why! Take off your clothes. Do you hear
it? The King is already arriving.”
The Storyteller: George is taking his clothes off and jumping into the pond; The
Tomcat is running towards the King.
Tomcat: „Help! Help! Mister Earl from Millhood is drowning! Heeeelp! ”
The King: „Driver, hurry up! Help him!”

Tomcat: „Thank you, my King! But my Lord won’t be able to go with you to the
castle. Some thieves have stolen his clothes.“
The King: „No problem. I will give him new clothes, the best I have. My servant
will bring them in a minute.”
George: „Thank you, King.”
The Storyteller: George is wearing new clothes.
The King: „Get in my carriage and join to me.”
The storyteller: The Tomcat is running in front of the carriage and shouting.
Tomcat: „Folks! Hey folks! In a minute there will be Our King on this road.
When he asks you whose those fields and forests are, tell him they’re from Earl
from Millhood. If you don’t obey, you will end badly.”
The Rustic: „Well, we will obey. The King is the King.”
The King: „Hey, whose are those fields?”
The Rustic: „They’re from Earl from Millhood.”
The King: (to George) „You have gorgeous fields!”
The storyteller: The Tomcat is going to the castle and talking to a wizard.
Tomcat: „Wizard, I’ve heard you can turn into a lion or a mouse. Your big glory
is going round the world. That’s why I’m here. I would like to see it.“
Wizard: „That’s true. I can turn myself into a lion or a cat. Wait a second and
you will see.“

The storyteller: He is turning into a mouse. The Tomcat jumps on the mouse
and eat it. The King with George are entering into the castle.
The King: „Dear Earl from Millhood! You have a wonderful place here. But do
you know who I like the most here?”
George: „I don’t know, King. But I can offer you whatever you want.”
The King: „I would like to have your Tomcat to work for me. I’ve never seen as
smart animal as him.”
Tomcat (is bowing to the King): „Thank you, King. It will be my pleasure to be
your servant and adviser.”
