Anotace
Metodický pokyn
Materiál je určen k procvičování praktických
komunikačních dovedností v oblasti ošetřování
nemocných – sonografické vyšetření (ESP – English for
specific purposes – Nursing)
Žáci pracují s daným materiálem ve dvojicích. Mohou
použít slovník. Součástí vzdělávacího materiálu je i
metodický list pro učitele s klíčem.
TASK SHEET 9 – Health and Hygiene
Making a sonographic examination
PATIENT: What’s that, nurse?
PATIENT: OK than. How long does it take?
NURSE: Oh, it’s a special imaging examination that scans organs in your abdomen.
PATIENT: Fine. So when is this ultrasound?
NURSE: Good morning, Mrs. Laceman. You’re having your ultrasound examination today. 1
NUSRSE: Now, there are some restrictions before the examination. Please do not eat or drink at least
for four hours before it. It means you have to skip breakfast today but as there are no restrictions
after the examination you can have your lunch as usual.
PATIENT: OK. See you than, nurse. 12
PATIENT: Hmm, I see. Is it painful?
NURSE: We can´t be sure about that but it usually takes only a few minutes.
PATIENT: Right.
NURSE: Don´t worry. It´s absolutely painless.
NURSE: I will come for you in about two hours and walk you to the examination room.
Try to number the sentences in the dialogue. (The first and last one are done for you.)
2. Check with your partner and practise the dialogue.
