Course objectives:
Course objective consists in improving professional multi-skill abilities of students of restoration branch; they get photography
science knowledge applied to computer processing, particularly for documentary purposes.
Students are capable both of taking and making professional photographs required for accomplishing restoration documentation.
Lessons are divided into two parts. One is devoted to black-and-white photography, and the other is focused on digital technology
application. Lessons are organised in blocks.
Requirements on student
Assignment: passing individual blocks of lessons, mastering objectives and final assessment.
Content
Fundamental knowledge on black-and-white photography, origin, and history of a camera, auxiliary means, camera and
processing, photo-chemical processes, materials, exposure.
Fundamental knowledge on digital photography, camera and optics perspectives, accessories, practical application, digital
photography and specialised computer programs and processing.

Competences acquired
Students are capable both of taking and making professional photographs required for accomplishing restoration documentation.
