Anotace: Žáci se seznámí s hlavními společenskými problémy vztahujícími se k životu
mladých lidí, s příslušnou slovní zásobou v anglickém jazyce. Samostatně budou do textu doplňovat chybějící
výrazy. Prověření získaných znalostí je provedeno v závěru formou otázek.

It is said that youth is the nicest time of the life. You are fit, strong and you have a lot
of energy to face your problems. People around you tend to tolerate your faults and
mistakes because of the lack of life experience.There are two different groups of
young people – teenageres (between 13 and 19) and those between twenty and thirty.
Teenageres grow up with their parents, but they want to be independent. They oppose
older generation, they often have conflicts with their parents or teachers. There are lots
of problems connected with the ….. ….. .
Young people often attend schools. A lot of problems is connected with the school.
Some students have bad results and play truant. There are also many problems in
relationships with classmates. The most serious problems at today´s schools is …... .
Friendship is very important for young people, it is very sad to be lonely. Sometimes

Young people have to think about their future plans. It isn´t easy to choose the ideal

Young people spend a lot of time at school or studying for the following day. But
hobbies and good friends are very important, too. There are lots of ways how we can
spend our leisure time. People without hobbies are bored, that´s the cause of
vandalism and anti-social ….. .
Young people should be warn against all risks connected with taking drugs and
drinking alcohol. Many young people become drug ….. and a lots of crimes are drug
related. Drugs are one of the most serious problems of today´s young generation.

People between twenty and thirty often finished schools and their problems are a little
different. They look for a good job and it can be very difficult because of ….. .
Another problem is to find a place to live. Many young families don´ t have enough
money to buy a flat or to build a new house, it´s too expensive. They often get loan
from the bank or a mortgage.
Many young people are concerned about various world global problems as …..,
