In the name of the Czech Darts Organization, I‘d like to welcome all darts
players in the Czech Open 2008. I would also like to express our thanks
to our partners and sponsors alike. And last but not least thank all
of the volunteers who prepared and are helping to run this tournament.
The event is held in the TJ Bohemians sport centre in Prague as last year,
but the total playing area has been doubled. The first hall is dedicated for floor matches
only, and the second hall is used for stage matches, a rest area which expands the pub area
for non-smokers and a new fun zone with darts accessories shop, free internet access, table
football and laser shooting.
The total prize money has been raised to the equivalent of 6000 €, with the men‘s singles
winner taking the equivalent of 1600 €.
Stage matches will be called by Richard “Little” Ashdown, brilliant caller from England.
This event is the first European tournament in the BDO Invitation Table for the 2009 season.
Start your chase for the Winmau World Masters 2009 and Lakeside World Professional
Championships 2010 in good way. Good darts!

Jménem České šipkové organizace bych rád přivítal všechny šipkaře na turnaji Czech Open
2008 a jedním dechem chci poděkovat všem partnerům a sponzorům. V neposlední řadě
děkuji všem dobrovolníkům, kteří tento turnaj připravovali a pomáhají s jeho realizací.
Turnaj se hraje v areálu TJ Bohemians na Hagiboru v Praze jako minulý rok, ale hrací prostor se zdvojnásobil. Jedna hala je určena pro zápasy na ploše a druhá bude vyhrazena pro
zápasy na pódiu, šipkový obchod a odpočinkovou zónu s fotbálky, internetem zadarmo
a laserovou střelnicí.
Celkové peněžní odměny jsou vypsány ve výši více než 150 000 Kč, vítěz mužské kategorie
si odnese 40 000 Kč a vítězka ženské 20 000 Kč!
Zápasy na pódiu bude rozhodovat vynikající caller Richard „Little“ Ashdown z Anglie.
Tento turnaj je první evropský turnaj započítávaný do zvací tabulky BDO pro sezónu 2009.
Začněte vaši snahu o účast na Winmau World Masters 2009 a Profesionální mistrovství
světa WDF/BDO 2010 v Lakeside v dobré pohodě. Ať Vám to lítá!

WDF RULES APPLY IN SINGLES EVENTS.
“This is a BDO Invitation Tables event and is open to all players who are eligible to play in the Winmau World Masters
and Lakeside World Professional Championships.”
Youth players (born 1. 11. 1990 or later) can also participate in the Mens / Womens event.

The organisers reserve the right to alter the schedule and playing format.
Players will not be called out, please check bracket sheets where and when you have to play your next game.
Report to the game official 5 minutes before game.
When the player not report in time, he/she loses the game by rules.
Players not present at the prize award ceremony forfeit the right to receive their trophy and prize money.
Players are expected to dress appropriately, by means no jeans or denim type trousers on stage.
Smoking and drinking is not permited in the whole playing area, after second warning the player will be taken
out of the tournament.
Order of throw will be decided by single toss of a coin.
Every player is allowed to throw 9 practise darts before the start of the game.
All questions concerning score checks have to be made before the player throws again.
The loser writes the next game.
ALL PRIZES TOTAL over CZK 150 000,- (approx. EUR 6 000,-)

Pravidla:
Tento turnaj se započítává do Zvacího žebříčku BDO a mohou se ho zúčastnit všichni hráči, kteří jsou způsobilí hrát na
Winmau World Masters a Lakeside World Professional Championships.
Junioři (narození 1. 11. 1990 nebo později) mohou startovat i v soutěžích seniorů.
Organizátoři si vyhrazují právo změnit program nebo herní systém.
Hráči nebudou vyhlašováni, zkontrolujte si vyvěšené pavouky abyste zjistili kdy a kde hrajete.
5 minut před zápasem se zaregistrujte u rozhodčích.
Hráč, jenž se nenahlásí včas prohrává zápas!
Pokud se hráč nezúčastní vyhlášení vítězů, ztrácí nárok na všechny odměny.
Hráči na pódiu musí být vhodně oblečeni, nejsou přípustné jeansy, denimové kalhoty a tepláky.
V celém hracím prostoru je zákaz kouření a požívání nápojů, po druhém varování budu hráč vyloučen z turnaje.
Kdo začne zápas rozhodne los mincí.
Každý hráč má 9 šipek na rozházení.
Veškeré otázky ohledně stavu skóre musí být vyřešeny před dalším hodem hráče.
Prohraný píše další zápas na stejném terči.
Hodnota všech cen více jak 150 000,- Kč.
Struktura peněžitých odměn (Kč):
Tyto peněžité odměny budou vyplaceny pokud počet hráčů překročí 256 v MJ, 32 v ŽJ a MP, 16 v ŽP a SP.

in Swansea, Wales. Czech players appeared on stage
in every boys category.

4-9. Jiří Srp lost semifinal to Shaun Griffiths (ENG)
and Czech pair (Pavel Korda, Václav Schieferdecker)

Evropy juniorů tři bronzové medaile
Z půdy University ve Swansea (Wales), kde proběhlo Mistrovství Evropy juniorů v šipkách si naše
výprava přiváží 3 sady bronzových medailí. 3. místo
obsadilo družstvo (Pavel Korda, David Korda, Jiří
Srp, Václav Schieferdecker), stejně se umístila dvojice
(Pavel Korda, Václav Schieferdecker) a opět na
3. místě skončil v soutěži jednotlivců Jiří Srp.
