1st Harvest Day in the Czech Republic
4. října 2013jsme měli velmi úspěšný Den sklizně. Naše třídy sklízely různé ovoce a
zeleninu na školní zahradě i v okolí školy. Užili jsme si také hodně legrace.
Žáci 2. a 3. ročníku vyrývali mrkev na školní zahradě, kterou si zasadili na jaře minulého
školního roku.
Žáci 5. ročníku pracovali také na školní zahradě a vykopávali tady brambory. Byla to
opravdu těžká práce.
Žáci 6. ročníku se vydali do farní zahrady, kde sbírali ořechy pod obrovským stromem.
Potom ještě sbírali šípky poblíž lesa za vesnicí.
Žáci navštěvující školní družinu se také zapojili do této aktivity a sklízeli jablka v
ovocném sadu.
Po sklizni žáci využili nějaké ovoce a ořechy v naší školní kuchyňce a upekli jablkový
štrůdl, ořechové a jablkové řezy. Byly vynikající!
Den sklizně jsme si užili.
We had a very successful Harvest Day on 4 October 2013. Our classes harvested different
fruit and vegetable in various areas around the school and local area.
We had a lot of fun too.
Class 2 and class 3 spaded carrots in the school garden. They planted carrots in spring
last school year.
Class 5 worked also in the school garden and they dug out potatoes. It was really a hard
work.
Class 6 went to the parsonage garden and they harvested nuts under a huge tree. Then
they collected rose hips near the forest behind our village.
The pupils attending after school care were involved into this activity too and they
harvested apples in the local apple orchard.
After the harvest the pupils used some fruit and nuts in our school kitchen and they baked
the strudel, pies and cakes. They were delicious!
We enjoyed Harvest Day very much!

After the harvest....
The girls of class 6 baked apple pie with whisked whites and apple strudel.
The boys of class 6 baked the cake with
ground nuts and cocoa.
The children of after school care baked apple strudel and apple dumplings too.
And there is the result.....
