Theoretical extrapolations of available data are then needed to derive the astrophysical S(0)‐factor. Various indirect tecniques have been used in order to obtain additional information on the parameters entering these extrapolations. The Trojan Horse Method is an indirect method which might help to bypass some of problems typically ncountered in direct measurements, namely the presence of the Coulomb barrier and electron screening between interacting nuclei.
