RADICAL RIDE (RR)
The skinwall-type construction
– the sidewall is formed by a strongly
rubberized cord fabric (1x2) and
bead consisting of reinforced twisted
steel wire (3x2). This construction
considerably increases the loading
capacity and safety of the tyre. The
RADICAL RIDE construction is
intended for usage in extreme
conditions – DOWNHILL, FREERIDE.
The tyre is produced by overlaptechnology (OLT), which assures
higher resistance against puncture in
the tyre crown. This bicycle tyre is
intended for racing.

besteht aus dem stark-gummierten
Reifenkord (1x2) und verstärktem
Stahlwulstring (3x2). Die Konstruktion
erhöht wesentlich die Reifentragfähigkeit und die Sicherheit. Die
Konstruktion RADICAL RIDE ist
zur Anwendung in extremen Bedingungen – DOWNHILL, FREERIDE
- bestimmt. Der Reifen wird mit der
„Overleap-Technology“ (OLT), die
bessere Durchschlagsicherheit an der
Lauffläche der Reifenkrone versichert,
produziert. Der Reifen wurde für den
Wettkampf-Einsatz entwickelt.

The Skinwall-type construction – the
sidewall consists of rubberized cord;
aramid bead reinforcement is used.
A special air-tight inlay is fitted on the
inner side as a substitute for a tube.
In the bead area a special compound
guaranteeing high shape flexibility
where the rim meats the bead is
used. This significantly increases airtightness in extreme conditions and
prevents the tyre from shifting on the
rim when braking sharply.The tubeless
technology ensures greater riding
comfort and adhesion in comparison
with a traditional tyre structure with
the same tread pattern and inflation,
since the contact area with the ground
is larger. The risk of getting a “Snake
Bite” – a puncture on the rim edge
caused during extreme deformation
of the tyre, is reduced to a minimum
as no tube is used.
The drum technology (OLT) ensures
higher puncture resistance in the tread
area. These tyres are designed for
racing. The weight is comparable with
a set (tyre, tube, rimtape). TPI 127

hergestellt. Auf der Innenseite ist eine
spezielle luftdichte Einlage eingelegt, die
den Luftschlauch ersetzt. Im Bereich des
Fusses wurde eine Spezialmischung verwendet, welche eine hohe Formflexibilität
zwischen der Felge und dem Deckenwulst
sichert. Damit wird die Beständigkeit gegen
das Entweichen der Luft bei einer Extrembelastung aus dem System erhöht, und
auch die Möglichkeit der Verdrehung des
Fahrradreifens auf der Felge wird bei starkem
Bremsen verhindert.
Die Tubeless – Technologie bietet
einen höheren Fahrtkomfort und Adhäsion
im Vergleich zu einem klassischen
Fahrradreifen. Bei gleichem Profil und
gleicher Reifenfüllung ist die Kontaktfläche
mit dem Terrain grösser.
Ein Defekt „Snake Bite“ – ein Defekt
von der Felgenkante, wird bei einer
extremen Deformation des schlauchlosen
Fahrradreifens auf ein Minimum reduziert.
Die Konstruktion der Trommeltechnologie
(OLT) garantiert eine höhere Durchsch
lagsbeständigkeit im Kronenbereich. Die
Fahrraddecken sind zu Rennzwecken
bestimmt. Ihr Gewicht ist mit einem
Reifensatz (Fahrradreifen, Fahrradschlauch,
Felgenband) vergleichbar. TPI 127

speciální směs, která zaručuje vysokou
tvarovou flexibilitu ve spojení ráfku
s patkou pláště. Tím je výrazně
zvýšena odolnost proti úniku vzduchu
ze systému při extrémním namáhání
jakož i možnosti pootočení pláště
na ráfku při prudkém brždění. Technologie tubeless poskytuje vyšší jízdní
komfort i adhezi ve srovnání s pláštěm
klasického typu při shodném dezénu
a huštění, protože kontaktní plocha
s terénem je větší. Defekt typu „Snake
Bite“ (proražení o hranu ráfku při
extrémní deformaci pláště) je při
absenci duše snížen na minimum.

of having a puncture (high strength
and density). It increases the rigidity
and strength of the tyre crown,
and decreases the tyre drag while
maintaining the adhesive force.
This antipuncture system does not
significantly increase the weight of
the tyre.

zwischen der Karkasse und der Lauffläche und sorgt für bessere Pannensicherheit. Dieser Gürtel ergibt eine

The structure has been designed for
heavy duty conditions requiring safety

Fahrradreifens angeordnet ist. Dank
ihrer Eigenschaften und Anordnung erhöht sie die Festigkeit der Karkasse

Dezén pro sportovní silniční kola k jízdě
na vozovce s kvalitním povrchem. Plášť
s tímto dezénem je vhodný pro tréninkové účely jako náhrada galusek (díky
jeho konstrukci je možno jej hustit na
vyšší tlaky). Oproti galuskám má vyšší
hmotnost, je však odolnější proti průrazu
a nevyžaduje odbornou demontáž při
opravě defektu duše.
