POLNÁ
Trhová ves vznikla zřejmě mnohem dříve, ale nejstarší písemnou zprávu známe z roku 1242. V tomto roce
král Václav I. potvrzuje věnování kostela v Polné a dvou vsí (Jankov a Skrýšov) Janem z Polné Řádu německých
rytířů. Pravděpodobně ve ll. pol. 13. století je ves povýšena na město. Za vlastnictví Jindřicha z Lipé byl kolem
roku 1325 dostavěn hrad Polná, který v době panování Jiříka z Poděbrad má zásadní význam pro celé české
království. Polenské panství téměř tři sta let od roku 1623 vlastnil rod Ditrichštejnů. K památkám kromě zámku
(přestavěn z hradu koncem 16. stol.) patří kostel Nanebevzetí Panny Marie, špitální kostel sv. Anny, hřbitovní
kostel sv. Kateřiny, hřbitovní kostel sv. Barbory, děkanství a Kaplanka, židovský hřbitov, synagoga (dnes Regionální židovské muzeum), budovy škol a pivovarů a řada dalších sakrálních památek.
The oldest written mention of Polná dates back to 1242, but this market village is presumed to have existed long
before. That year, king Václav I (Wenceslas) confirmed a deed with which Jan of Polná endowed the church in
Polná and two villages (Jankov and Skrýšov) to the Order of German Knights. Probably in the second half of the
1200’s, Polná’s status was officially elevated to a town. Around 1325, under the ownership of Jindřich of Lipá,
a very prominent personage with fundamental influence on the whole Kingdom of Bohemia during the rule
of Jiřík of Poděbrady, the construction of the Polná castle was completed. From 1623 for nearly 300 years,
the Polná estate was owned by the House of Ditrichštejns (Ditrichsteins). Polná’s monumental sites include,
in addition to the castle (rebuilt towards the end of the 1500’s), the Virgin Mary’s Ascension church, the St.
Anna hospice church, the St. Kateřina cemetery church, the St. Barbora cemetery church, the Dean’s Rectory
and Curate’s House, the Jewish cemetery, a synagogue (the Regional Jewish Museum today), various school
buildings, several beer breweries, and numerous other sacral historical sites.
Das Marktdorf entstand wahrscheinlich schon viel früher, aber die erste schriftliche Erwähnung stammt aus
dem Jahre 1242. In diesem Jahr bestätigte König Václav I (Wenzel), dass Jan aus Polná dem Deutschherrenorden eine Kirche in Polná und zwei Dörfer (Jankov und Skrýšov) schenkte. Aller Wahrscheinlichkeit nach erhielt
das Dorf in der ll. Hälfte des 13. Jh. das Stadtrecht. Gegen 1325, als die Stadt im Besitz von Jindřich Lipé war,
wurde die Burg Polná fertiggestellt, die unter der Regierung von Jiřík aus Poděbrady grundsätzliche Bedeutung
für das gesamte böhmische Königsreich hatte. Die Herrschaft Polná blieb ab 1623 fast dreihundert Jahre lang
im Besitz des Ditrichstein-Stammes. Neben dem Schloss (Ende des 16. Jh. umgebaute Burg) gehören zu
den wichtigsten Denkmälern die Kirche der Jungfrau Maria Himmelfahrt, die Spitalkirche St. Anna, die Friedhofskirche St. Katherina, die Friedhofskirche St. Barbara, das Dechanat und die Kaplanwohnung, der Jüdische
Friedhof, die Synagoge (heute Regionales Jüdisches Museum), Schul- und Brauereigebäude und eine ganze
Reihe weiterer sakraler Denkmäler.
Le village de marché existait probablement beaucoup plus avant, mais la plus vieille information écrite sur
lui provient de 1242. En cette année-là, le roi Venceslas I confirme la donation de l’église de Polná et de deux
villages (Jankov et Skrýšov) par Jean de Polná à l’Ordre des chevaliers teutoniques. Probablement à la seconde
moitié du 13ème siècle, le village a été érigé en ville. Pendant sa possession par Henri de Lipá, vers 1325, la
construction du château fort Polná a été terminée. Sous le règne de Georges de Poděbrady, le château était
très important pour tout le royaume tchèque. La seigneurie de Polná depuis 1623 presque pendant trois cent
ans était possédée par la famille de Dietrichstein. À part du château (reconstruit du château fort vers la fin du
16ème siècle), il y a d’autres monuments historiques, tels que l‘Église de l’Assomption de la Vierge-Marie,
l’église d’hôpital de Sainte Anne, l’église de cimetière de Sainte Catherine, l’église de cimetière de Sainte Barbe, le décanat et la vicairie, le cimetière juif, la synagogue (aujourd’hui le Musée juif régional), bâtiments des
écoles et des brasseries et beaucoup d’autres monuments sacraux.
