During the competition days there is a possibility to visit the exhibition of old
calculators on the Faculty of Science.

• You can sign for trips during the registration.
• You will pay for your trip in cash in CZK (czech crowns) to your trip guide
at the beginning of the trip.
Dolní oblast Vítkovice
The Vítkovice Area (Dolní oblast Vítkovice) and Science and
Technology Center Ostrava
• Ostrava city is the “steel heart”of the Czech Republic. We would like to
take you to the historical center of the iron manufactoring.

• travelling from the university to the Vítkovice Area (10 minutes by tram) and
back
• sight-seeing of the Vítkovice Area
• visiting of the Science and Technology Center Ostrava including cca 45 minute
3D movie projection about the nature

ZOO
• ZOO Ostrava is the second biggest zoo in the Czech Republic (area of 100
hectares).

• travelling from the university to the ZOO (7 minut by trolley-bus) and back
• visiting of the ZOO

The Tower and the World of Miniatures
The Observation Tower of the New City Hall and the World of
Miniatures MINIUNI
• From the Observation Tower of the New City Hall there is an astonishing
view of all Ostrava, mountains of Beskydy and Jeseníky, Poland ...
MINIUNI is an exterior area where you can see 34 models of famous world
buildings. The models are made in the ratio 1:25.

• visiting of the Observation Tower of the New City Hall
• visiting of the World of Miniatures MINIUNI (cca 20 minutes from the
Observation Tower by feet across the City Centre)
