Ancient Greece is a historical period
from about 800 B.C. to the era of
expansion of Christianity. Greek
ancient religion was polytheistic. There
were many Gods, well-known are
Zeus, Athena, Aphrodite and Poseidon.
Ancient Greece wasn't a unitary state,
but there were many city-states. The
most important states were Athens
and Sparta. These states waged many
wars, e.g. the Peloponnesian War
(Athens against Sparta) and the GrecoPersian Wars.

Our main workshop was recording the
sounds of some places in the region,
where is situated Tripoli, Arcadia. There
were five or six groups of students,
foreign and Greek students. Each group
had to record something in the town or
somewhere where we went. One group
recorded sounds of Tripoli and we
recorded sounds of one village
somewhere in the mountains. Tripoli is
the capital city of the Greek region
Arcadia. After the Fall of Tripolitsa (there
was a bloody battle) there wasa big
massacre of the Muslim and Jewish
population and most of the local
historical buildings were destroyed. It’s
birthplace of two Greek prime ministers.
