dostává se Vám do rukou katalog představující talentovanou malířku
Chunqing Huang. Z její impresivní malby je zřejmé ovlivnění uměním dálného východu. Ano, díla zobrazená v tomto katalogu pochází od autorky
narozené v Číně, její současná tvorba však vzniká v Evropě.
Je nesmírně milé vidět, že její tvorbu ovlivnil i malebný kraj v srdci Evropy
a České republiky, Kraj Vysočina. Inspiraci nachází z části v dědictví práce
našich předků – v památkách a zároveň i v inspirativní krajině Českomoravské vrchoviny.

You have in your hands a catalogue representing the talented painter
Chunqing Huang. Her impressive painting shows the influence of the Far
East. Yes, the works shown in this catalogue come from an artist born in
China, although her current work is created in Europe.
It is extremely nice to see that her work is also influenced by the beautiful
countryside in the heart of Europe and the Czech Republic and the Vysocina
Region. She can find inspiration partly in the work of our ancestors – in the
sights as well as in the inspiring landscape of the region.
Stejně, jako kultura v obecném smyslu tohoto slova nezná hranice, ani
rozličné projekty Kraje Vysočina nejsou omezeny na partnery „starého“
kontinentu Evropy. Společně s přáteli z Tchaj-wanu jsme za období posledních tří let zavedli do veřejného života několik vylepšení, které pomáhají
především občanům Kraje Vysočina v důležitých institucích poskytujících
veřejné služby.
Just as culture in the broad sense knows no boundaries, the various
Vysocina projects are not limited to partners from the “old” continent of
Europe. Together with our friends from Taiwan, in the last three years we
have introduced several enhancements into public life that help people from
Vysocina in the important institutions providing sound public services.
Velmi si cením přátelství s konkrétními lidmi, kteří byli a jsou spojeni
s Tchajpejskou hospodářskou a kulturní kanceláří v Praze. Právě na tomto
místě bych chtěl vyjádřit, jak moc si této spolupráce cením. I díky konkrétním lidem z této instituce jsme se mohli potkat s paní Chunqing Huang.
Těší mne, že se Kraj Vysočina rozhodl podpořit vydání tohoto katalogu
a věřím, že se dílo nadějné umělkyně zalíbí co nejvíce lidem nejen v Evropě
a Asii.

the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Prague. At this point I would like
to express how much I appreciate this cooperation. Thanks to these people
from this institution, we are able to meet Mrs. Chun-qing Huang.

M&K galerie, která zahájila svoji činnost již před více jak 22 lety má ve
svém portfoliu několik významných českých výtvarných umělců a za sebou velké množství realizovaných výstav v České republice i v zahraničí.
Přesto se stále snažíme hledat nové umělce mladší generace z celého světa. Jedním z těchto nových objevů pro naši galerii je i výtvarnice Chunqing Huang. Malířka, která vystudovala na Akademii v Pekingu
v Číně, a jež momentálně žije a tvoří v Německu. Kontakt mezi umělkyní
a M&K galerií zprostředkoval pan Robert Ho z Taiwanu, který je naším
dlouholetým klientem a stal se jakýmsi duchovním otcem a organizátorem obou výstav. Ty budou uskutečněny v obou našich výstavních síníchv Jihlavě a v Praze.
Do rukou se Vám dostává katalog, který se nám podařilo realizovat za významné podpory Kraje Vysočina. Katalog prezentuje nejen tvorbu samotné umělkyně, ale i Kraj Vysočina a v neposlední řadě rovněž občanské
sdružení Benediktus v Modletíně na Vysočině. Výstava výtvarnice Chunqing Huang pod názvem 4. dimenze je pro nás přínosem nejen po výtvarné
stránce, ale má i charitativní rozměr, neboť z výtěžku prodeje určených
obrazů bude podpořena právě činnost občanského sdružení Benediktus.
The M&K Gallery, which started its operations more than 22 years ago, has
in its portfolio a number of important Czech artists and a large number of
successful exhibitions in the Czech Republic and abroad. Nevertheless, we
continue to look for new, younger generation artists from around the world.
One of these new discoveries for our gallery is the artist Chunqing Huang.
Ms. Huang studied at the Academy in Beijing (China) and Staatliche Hochschule fuer Bildende Kuenste Staedelschule, Frankfurt am Main, and now
lives and works in Germany. The contact between the artist and M&K Gallery was created by Mr. Robert Ho from Taiwan, who is our long-time client
and became a sort of spiritual father and organizer of both exhibitions.
The exhibitions will be organized in both our exhibition halls in Jihlava and
Prague. The catalogue which you are now holding has been successfully
created with significant support from the Vysocina Region. It presents not
only the artist but also Vysocina and, last but not least, the civic association Benediktus from Modletin village in the region. The exhibition of artist
Huang Chun-qing is called “4th Dimension” and is beneficial for us not only in
the artistic sense, but also as a dimension of charity, since the income from
the sale of some paintings will be passed to the Benediktus’ activities.

Všechno to začalo jednoduchým a možná také naivním nápadem.
Co může umění přinést do našeho života? Může umění učinit náš život šťastnějším? Může umění také vytvářet štěstí? Jak diváci vnímají
a komunikují s uměním? Jaký vztah se vytváří mezi diváky, uměním
a umělcem? Můžeme poznat i neviditelné dimenze, ducha, kompozice
i jednotlivé části umění včetně pocitu štěstí být lidskými bytostmi prostřednictvím umění a umělecké tvorby?
It all started with a very primitive and maybe naive idea. What art can bring to
our life? Can art make our life more happier? Can art create Happiness? How
the spectators interact and communicate with art? What is the corelation
between the viewers, art and artist? Can we exploite the invisible dimension,
spirit, composition and compounds of art and happiness of human being in
art and art creation.
Přinesl jsem tuto myšlenku a návrh do M&K Galerie v Jihlavě, na Krajský
úřad Kraje Vysočina a dalším českým přátelům s žádostí o jejich podporu,
připomínky, přínos a spolupráci. Velmi mě těší každodenní proces pokroku
při přípravě a dokončení výstavy i jejího katalogu.

Chunqing Huang se narodila v roce 1974 v Číně. Studovala volnou grafiku
v letech 1994 – 1998 na Centrální akademii výtvarných umění v Pekingu
v Číně, kde absolvovala s titulem bakalář.
V roce 2000 se přestěhovala do Frankfurtu nad Mohanem v Německu.
Tam také studovala u Prof. Petera Angermanna, Prof. Hermanna Nitsche
a Prof. Wolfganga Tillmanse na Staedelschule-Staatliche Hochschule für
Künste bildende, kde v roce 2004 získala magisterský titul u Prof.Hermanna Nitsche.
Od té doby se účastní samostatných i skupinových výstav výtvarného
umění v těchto výstavních síních: Art Basel Miami Beach, Art Fair Kolín
nad Rýnem, Art Forum Berlín, Art Frankfurt, Vasistas Istanbul, Palmbeach
3, Miami, Interpret Camp Německo-Polsko, Art International Karlsruhe,
Junge Kunst mit Zukunft, Museum für Angewandte Kunst a Museum für
Moderne Kunst Frankfurt nad Mohanem. Získala cenu „Améby“ na Tchajwanu a 2 ceny pro mladé autory ve Frankfurtu nad Mohanem.
Dává přednost olejomalbě na plátno volným stylem, odvážné výpovědi,
silnému výrazu, jasným barvám a orientální filozofii i životnímu stylu západní kultury a civilizace. Jak u čínských, tak i u evropských milovníků
umění může její současná tvorba vyvolat zvláštní a dlouhotrvající zájem
o filozofii ideálního životního stylu a harmonických vztahů mezi lidmi
v 21. století.
Autorka srdečně děkuje Krajskému úřadu Kraje Vysočina, M&K galerii,
OGV Jihlava, Muzeu Vysočiny Pelhřimov, sdružení Benediktus a Modletínu za tuto vzácnou příležitost vystavit svá díla a udělat něco pro komunitu
na Vysočině.
Chunqing Huang was born 1974in China. She studied Free Graphics 1994–
1998 at the Central Academy of Fine Art, Beijing, China, and graduated witha
bachelor´s degree.
Since 2000 she has moved to Frankfurt am Main, Germany and studied with
Prof. Peter Angermann, Prof. Hermann Nitsch and Prof. Wolfgang Tillmans
at the Staedelschule-Staatliche Hochschule für bildende Künste, Frankfurt
am Main. 2004 she graduated with Master-Degree-Meisterschulerin with
Prof.Hermann Nitsch.
Since then, she has taken part in solo- and group-art exhibitions in Art
Basel-Miami Beach, Art Fair Cologne, Art Forum Berlin, Art Frankfurt,
Vasistas Istanbul, Palmbeach 3, Miami, Artist Camp Germany-Poland , Art
International Karlsruhe, Junge Kunst mit Zukunft, Museum für Angewandte
Kunst, und Museum fuer Moderne Kunst Frankfurt am Main. She was
awarded Amoebae, Taiwan and 2 Prices of “Junge Kunst mit Zukunft“in
MAK und MMK Frankfurt am Main.
She prefers painting in oil on canvas with a free style, courageous
statements, powerful expression of the subjects, bright colours and oriental
philosophy, life style and western culture and civilization. Both for Chinese
and Europeans her contemporary artworks may convey a special and lasting
interest in the philosophy of the ideal lifestyle and harmonic relations among
peoples in the 21st Century.
Finally heartfelt thanks to Vysocina Regional Office, M&K Gallery, OGV
Jihlava Gallery, Pelhrimov Museum, Benediktus association, Modletin for

V srpnu letošního roku jsme se rozhodli zahájit spolupráci s Chunqing
Huang a dostat tak šanci prezentovat její díla v naší nově zřízené galerii ve
městě Wiesbaden v Německu. Vzhledem k tomu, že se narodila v Číně a
absolvovala formální vzdělávací programy v Pekingu a ve Frankfurtu, její
práce skutečně odrážejí přesně to, co jsme hledali: současné umění, které
osciluje mezi různými kulturními póly při zachování a dodržování pravidel
moderního umění.
In August this year we decided to get in touch with Chunqing Huang hoping
for the chance to present her works in our newly established gallery in
Wiesbaden/Germany. Born in China and having navigated through formal
educational programmes in Beijing and Frankfurt her works indeed echo
exactly what we were looking for: Contemporary art, which oscillates
between different cultural poles while maintaining a strict adherence to the
achievements of Modern Art.
Naštěstí Chunqing podpořila náš projekt bez chvíle zaváhání, a proto budeme moci předložit veřejnosti přehled jejího díla v již v listopadu a prosinci letošního roku (2012).
Luckily Chun-qing supported our project without a moment of hesitation
and consequently we will be able to present an overview of her oeuvre in
November and December this year.
Výstava "Krajina a vodní pohyby" vám zpřístupní obrazy, které odhalí vášeň Huang Chunqing pro plynulost. Koupající se lidé, plavci, kteří se pohybují, mluví a relaxují v jasně modré vodě - a zdá se, že si užívají radost
pramenící z otázek a skrytých pohledů.
The “Landscapes and Water Motions” paintings will be shown that reveal
Huang Chun-qing‘s passion for fluidity. People taking a bath, swimmers, who
move, talk, relax while being in sometimes acutely blue water - and yet they
seem to enjoy a mixed blessing with their questioning and hidden gazes.
Zcela odlišné a přesto zachovávající si plynulý výraz jsou její práce související s krajinou a ročními obdobími. Komplexnější barvy odrážejí až expresionistické tahy štětcem, zatímco motivy jdou ruku v ruce s náměty,
které nemohou zakrýt vliv čínské tradiční malby. Jsme velmi rádi, že můžeme s Chunqing spolupracovat
Completely different and yet still an expression of fluidity are her works
relating to landscapes and seasons. More complex in colour they allude to
an expressionist brush while the motives work hand in hand with images
which do not bury the influence of Chinese traditional painting. We are very
happy to start off with her.

The Vysocina Region
Kraj Vysočina
Už samo pojmenování správního celku Vysočina naznačuje, že se kraj
rozkládá na podstatné části Českomoravské vrchoviny, vyvýšené zvlněné
krajiny na pomezí obou historických zemí České republiky. Původní neprostupný prales se díky úsilí mnoha generací podařilo zkultivovat v harmonickou krajinu s množstvím lesů, hájků, polí a luk, pastvin i řadou rybníků.
Přes 514 tisíc obyvatel kraje má dnes svůj domov v některém z více než tisíce sídel, propojených bohatou sítí silnic. Pro Vysočinu jsou charakteristické malé vesnice nepříliš vzdálené od místního centra, jímž bývá klidné
malé město se třemi až deseti tisíci obyvatel. Pouze ve čtyřech městech
žije více než dvacet tisíc obyvatel a nejlidnatější je padesátitisícová krajská metropole Jihlava. Ta patřila ve středověku k nejbohatším městům
českého království, především díky těžbě stříbra.
Kraj o rozloze bezmála 6800 km2 leží v dopravním i populačním středu
země a prochází jím hlavní dopravní tepna České republiky, dálnice D1.
Díky strategické poloze soustředili zahraniční investoři na Vysočině své
výrobní kapacity i výzkum a vývoj.
Historie zanechala na Vysočině množství památek, z nichž tři – historické centrum Telče, poutní kostel sv. Jana Nepomuckého na Zelené hoře
u Žďáru nad Sázavou, Židovské město a bazilika sv. Prokopa v Třebíči –
jsou zařazeny mezi světové kulturní dědictví UNESCO.
Přírodní bohatství kraje tvoří chráněné krajinné oblasti Žďárské vrchy,
Železné hory, národní přírodní rezervace Mohelenská hadcová step, Velký
Špičák a četné přírodní rezervace. Vysočinu lze označit za ostrov zachovaného zdravého životního prostředí mezi třemi aglomeracemi – pražskou,
brněnskou a vídeňskou. I díky tomu se jako první z krajů České republiky
stala členem organizace zdravých měst a regionů.
Vysočina je místem, kde se dá dobře žít, pracovat, podnikat a kam se dá
přijet na návštěvu za poznáním a odpočinkem.

The very name of the regional administrative unit Vysocina (Highlands)
suggests that the region covers a substantial part of the highlands, raised
undulating countryside on the border of both historic lands of the Czech
Republic. Originally impenetrable forest, thanks to the efforts of many
generations, it has been cultivated into a harmonious landscape with lots of
forests, groves, fields and meadows, pastures and numerous ponds.
Over 514,000 inhabitants of the region now have a home in one of more than
a thousand settlements connected with a rich network of roads. Vysocina
is characterized by small villages placed not too far from the centre, which
is often a quiet little town with three to ten thousand inhabitants. Only four
towns have more than twenty thousand inhabitants and the most populous
is the metropolis Jihlava with fifty thousand inhabitants. It belonged to the
richest cities of the Czech Kingdom in the Middle Ages, mainly due to silver
mining. The region with an area of nearly 6800 km2 lies in the traffic and
population centres of the country and the main traffic artery of the Czech
Republic, the D1 motorway, passes through the region. Due to its strategic
location, foreign investors concentrated their production capacity and
research and development in the Vysocina Region.
History has left many monuments in Vysocina; three of them - the historic
centre of Telc town, the pilgrimage church of Saint John of Nepomuk in Zdar
nad Sazavou and the Jewish Quarter and the Basilica of St. Procopius - are
classified as World Heritage sites by UNESCO.
The natural wealth of the region consists of the protected areas called the
Zdarske Hills, Iron Mountains, a national nature reserve, the Mohelenska
hadcova steppe, the area of Velky Spicak and numerous nature reserves.
The highlands can be described as an island with a healthy environment
in between the three agglomerations - Prague, Brno and Vienna. Thanks
to this, Vysocina was the first of Czech regions to become a member of the
Healthy Cities and Regions Association.
Vysocina is a place where people can live well, work, do business and where
they can come for entertainment and relaxation. Welcome to Vysocina.

Benedictus
Domovem naší komunity Benediktus je Modletín v Železných horách. Na
tomto místě se postupně zabydlujeme a vytváříme zde bydlení a pracovní
příležitosti nejen pro lidi s mentálním postižením, ale i pro lidi z okolí. Obnovujeme toto místo v duchu tradic, řemesel a kulturního odkazu našich
předků.
Lidé s mentálním postižením pracují v řemeslných dílnách, ve kterých se
snažíme uchovávat hodnoty ruční výroby a obnovovat tradiční řemesla
našich předků. V dílně tkalcovské, keramické a výtvarné vznikají zcela
originální výrobky, s láskou vytvořené. Tito lidé s postižením pracují také
na farmě, kde se starají o zvířata a obhospodařují zeleninovou zahradu.
Sezónně také zpracovávají ovoce v tradiční sušírně a moštárně.
Podstatou budování naší komunity s lidmi s mentálním postižením je nejen
společná práce, ale také společná modlitba, setkávání se a slavení. Tyto
hodnoty se snažíme předávat lidem, kteří žijí kolem nás, a proto pořádáme
slavnosti pro veřejnost (Pašije, Živý Betlém, Svatoanenskou pouť, Svatováclavské slavnosti, Adventní zastavení, …). Máme také vlastní kapelu
BeneBend, ve které hrají, zpívají a tančí lidé s mentálním postižením. Je to
originální kapela originálních lidí s originální tvorbou.
Do konce roku 2013 plánujeme rekonstrukci a dostavbu budovy pekárny
a hospůdky, ve které se bude péct tradičním způsobem chleba. Zároveň
v této budově vznikne také kulturní místnost pro výukové a předváděcí
programy pro veřejnost.
The home of our community called Benedictus is Modletin in the Zelezne
Hory hills. We gradually settled in this place and created housing and job
opportunities not only for people with mental disabilities, but also for people
from the neighbourhood
We renew in this place the traditions, crafts and cultural heritage of our
ancestors. People with mental disabilities work in craft workshops where
we try to keep alive the value of manual work and restore the traditional
crafts of our ancestors.
In the weaving, pottery and art workshops completely original products are
made, all of them created with love.
These people with disabilities also work on a farm, where they care for farm
animals and a vegetable garden. Seasonally they also process fruit in a dry
kiln and traditional cider house.
The essence of building our community with people with mental disabilities
is not only to work together, but also to pray together, meet each other and
celebrate.
We try to pass these values on to people who live around us, and therefore
we organize celebrations for the public (Passion, Live Nativity, Svatoanenska
pilgrimage, Saint Wenceslas´ Celebrations, Advent ...).
We also have a band called BeneBend in which play, sing and dance people
with mental disabilities. It is an original band of original people with original
creations.
By the end of 2013 we plan to reconstruct the building and complete the
bakery and pub in which we plan to bake bread in the traditional way. At
the same time this building will also have a cultural room for teaching and
demonstration programmes for the public.
