The second oldest lookout tower in the Czech Republic has stood
on the Green Hill by Kramolín, near the Dalešice Reservoir, 491 meters
above sea level, since 1831. Originally, it was one level higher, but during
the Prussian-Austrian wars of 1866, the top level was damaged by artillery and had to be removed. The lookout tower is also interesting due
to the number of frescoes on the lookout level, depicting the signs
of the zodiac. The top can be reached by 105 original oak steps. When
visibility is good, you can even see the Alps or the White Carpathians.

The rope centre features several specific parts. The low rope activity part comprises obstacles and serves as preparation for a high rope course. The high rope obstacles have two parts – team and individual.

The rope park is integrated into the edge of a forest in the immediate vicinity of the Pegas Hotel and is a part
of the hotel grounds. It offers a climbing wall with five levels of difficulty, a beam at the top of the climbing
wall; a Jacob’s ladder made of logs, which create the structure of a large ladder; wooden logs hung 10 meters above the ground, a jump to a moving beam from an 8-meter pillar, and an inclined beam.

The rope centre is built on the river bank next to the Polanka swimming facility. It features an 8-meter climbing wall with grips, offering easier as well as more demanding climbs. The rope obstacles, in the form of
ropes and beams, are hung on wooden pillars 6 – 8 meters high. A mesh or pulley is included. Experienced
instructors are present; helmets, harnesses and other equipment can be rented at the facility.

The Horní les Hill (774 m above sea level) not far from Rovečné and Nyklovice is the highest point of the Svratecká hornatina Nature Park. The tower
is 59 m high, 70 m from the peak of the hill, and its base is 9 meters below
the top. If you climb the 210 steps to the gallery, you will be 38 meters
above ground. The sites visible in the area include the ruined castle Zubštejn,
the surface of the Vír Reservoir, and the Vítochov church. Under ideal conditions, the Jeseníky, Kralický Sněžník, and Krkonoše mountains can be seen.
The tower can be reached by a marked hiking trail.

The rope park features 21 large obstacles in trees, and 5 low obstacles for the smallest participants. The park
is one of the highest tree parks in the country, a half of the obstacles are at around 10 meters above ground
level. The small rope obstacles for children are designed such that their level of difficulty would suit children
aged from 5 to 10. The obstacle types are chosen so as to correspond to those in the high rope park.

The lookout tower with a restaurant is a natural landmark of the Bystřice
nad Pernštejnem area. It was ceremoniously opened in July 2002. Its
construction launched the construction of the sports and rehabilitation
facility in the village of Karasín, which also features a ski lift. The lookout
tower is built at 704 m above sea level and is designed as a one-level
brick building with a square tower 30 meters tall. The tower can be reached by hiking trails as well as by car.

OCMANICE
A new wooden and steel lookout tower in the shape of an octagonal
pyramid was built in 2003/2004 over an underground water tank above
the village of Ocmanice, about 3 km northeast of Náměšť nad Oslavou,
on a un-named hill, 428 m above sea level. The total height of the lookout tower is 15.25 m. It can be reached by 50 steps, with the lookout
level being 6.2 m above ground level.

OSLEDNICE
The first lookout tower was erected on the Oslednice Hill on the edge
of Telč in 1898. It was made of wood and was 16 m tall. In 1999, a base
station for mobile telephony signal transmission was built on the same
site, which also serves as a publicly accessible lookout tower. The steel
structure of the 34 m-high lookout tower, standing 557 m above sea
level, features 175 steps and a lookout gallery 31.2 meters above ground.
It can be reached from the square of Zachariáš z Hradce, by following
the yellow trail markers.

The lookout tower stands on the highest point of the Pelhřimov area
– Křemešník – 765 m above sea level. It can be reached by 205 steps.
The structure extends 52 meters and the lookout gallery is 40 meters
above ground. A strong telescope is situated on the lookout tower.
When the weather cooperates, the castles of Lipnice and Roštejn can be
seen, as well as the tops of the hills Čeřínek, Špičák, and Javořice, Žďárské vrchy, and even the Krkonoše and Šumava Mountains. Orientation
in the landscape is facilitated by descriptions of the surrounding hills,
on the floor of the lookout gallery. Marked tourist and bicycle trails cross
Křemešník.

The golf resort near Telč is by the village of Vanov. Its central building is the renovated Šiškův Mill, which serves as
a hotel. The resort features a tennis court, bowling, indoor pool, sauna, fitness, and solarium. The golf clubhouse
is built in the same spirit. The golf course features a driving range, a putting and a chipping green, and a practice
bunker. The course itself is divided into two parts by a road. In font of the mill, there are eight hilly holes,
and past the alley lining the road are another ten holes in a more-or-less flat surface. Using the yellow tee markers,
the course is 5,988 meters long; with the red ones, it is 5,214 meters long.

When established, the originally open-terrain course in a hilly landscape only boasted low brushwood and no
trees. Today, it is practically in the forest, is not long, and is of a easier type. The history of the course, established in 1932, is evident from the placement of the holes: the 2nd and 4th holes are situated on a double green,
the 3rd and 5th have practically identical teeing areas, and the 8th goes up hill. The facility boasts a driving
range and a practice range with artificial lighting. Services are also offered in the extended clubhouse, serving
refreshments and offering facilities for players, including a small golf shop.

ZUBERSKÝ, cadastral district of Nové Město na Moravě
A lake in forested landscape about 5 km from Nové Město na Moravě. There are a number of recreational
facilities in the area for individual as well as group recreation. The lake has a sandy beach as well as grassy
shores. Amenities: stand with refreshments on the access road.
This lookout tower with an interesting appearance was built as a part of a telecommunication tower near the village of Sázava, near Žďár nad Sázavou, at
the top of Rosička Hill (645 m above sea level). A lighthouse used to stand
here, which was, however, removed due to strong corrosion during the war.
Subsequently, a wooden lookout tower served tourists temporarily. The contemporary lookout tower is 42 meters high, with the lookout gallery being
24 m above ground. The tower should withstand a gale of 200 km/hour. A longdistance bicycling trail runs past the lookout tower, and the way to the tower is
also marked for hikers.

Hiking
2,700 kilometres of marked hiking trails have been developed for wandering through the most beautiful
parts of the Vysočina Region. They lead along meditative forest paths, through the valleys of brooks and rivers, along the dams of ponds, and past romantic rock formations as well as the remnants of medieval guard
castles, and allow you to view the region from several lookout towers.

This lake, boasting an area of 206 ha, is the largest lake in Vysočina. It lies at 610 meters above sea level.
The Czech-Moravian Highlands have one of the highest incidences of windy days in the country, and consequently Velké Dářko is suitable for yachters and surfers. A number of races are held there every year
– the Spring Prize, the Vysočina Cup, and the Bamboo Regatta, or dragon-boat races, which are popular with
spectators.

Climbing in the Protected Landscape Area of Žďárské vrchy is only possible with a permit from the PLA
Administration Authority, subject to the conditions agreed with the representatives of the local unit
of the Czech Climbing Union. The most frequently used rock formations include Drátník and Čtyři palice;
climbing without any limitations is permitted on Vávrova skalka, Rozštípená skála, and some of the formations
in Devět skal, Malínské skály, and Milovské Perničky. When birds are nesting, climbing is prohibited on certain slopes
of the Pasecká skála, on Bílá skála, Ostrá skalka, Uhlíř, Zkamenělý zámek, Pivovar, Rybenské Perničky,
Štarkov, and Tisůvka. On all other rock formations, climbing is prohibited. The use of magnesia is prohibited
on the rock formations in Žďárské vrchy.
Conditions for climbing at the Žďárské vrchy PLA:
Climbing is permitted all-year round at the following locales: Devět skal, Malinská skála, Drátník, Čtyři palice,
Pasecká skála, Vávrova skála, and Rozštípená skála.
Climbing at the following locales is permitted from 1 January through 28 February and from 16 July through 31 December: Bílá skála, Uhlíř, Ostrá, Milovské Perničky, Zkamenělý zámek, Rybenské Perničky, Štarkov,
and Bohdalec. Descending from these rock formations, with the exception of Rybenské Perničky, is only
possible by belaying. No climbing is permitted at the following locales: Černá skála, Lisovská skála, Prosička,
and Milovské Perniky (below the road).

Since 1 July 2007, the waves of the 22-km long Dalešice Reservoir have been
ridden by the boat “Vysočina”, which has a capacity of 150 passengers.
The sightseeing boat goes on scheduled as well an unscheduled runs, in line with
the time schedule, which is divided into the high season and the low season.
Scheduled runs: the boat always goes according to the schedule, regardless
of the number of passengers. Only a low water level or poor weather conditions,
such as would compromise the safety of passengers, can cause the cancellation
of a scheduled run. Unscheduled runs: a sightseeing run from Kramolín to Wilson’s Rock and back or the entire boat for hire outside of the scheduled runs.
High season: 1 Jul. – 31 Aug., Low season: 23 March – 30 June and 1 Sept. – 31 Oct.
Tickets for scheduled runs, including circuit runs, are sold directly on the boat,
where maps and souvenirs are also for sale.

the places where important figures worked, and guide them to many architectural sights.
Horseback Riding
The picturesque landscape of Vysočina can also be admired from the back of a horse. Riding, combing,
training, accommodation for visitors as well as their horses: all that is offered by the operators of equestrian
stations in Vysočina. Attractions for children include rides on a donkey or a pony, and the swimming of horses or a barouche ride can be a great experience.
