Restorativní dialog mezi oběťmi a pachateli

Zločin je možné chápat jako ohrožující chování, které
vyžaduje odpověď sociální i zákonnou.
V důsledku trestného činu nesou oběti fyzické,
psychologické, finanční a společenské následky.
Některé z těchto traumat je možné řešit pomocí
dialogu mezi obětí a pachatelem.
Základy
Projekt Sycamore Tree® (STP) nabízí možnost
nápravy alespoň části škod trestného činu ve
prospěch oběti.

V rámci intenzivního programu se ve věznici
setkávají pachatelé a oběti nesouvisejících trestných
činů. Oběti mají možnost setkat se s pachateli
a pomoci jim pochopit, jaký dopad má trestná
činnost na oběti. Pachatelé mají možnost změnit
pohled na své jednání v minulosti a zamyslet se nad
tím, jakou roli mohou v jejich životech hrát hodnoty
jako je úcta, vcítění a zodpovědnost.
Mohou také nabídnout alespoň symbolickou omluvu
a odškodnění.
