How to buy a ticket for…
… a regional bus?
The only way is to buy your ticket from the driver after boarding the bus
(always use front door for boarding a regional bus). Only cash (CZK) is
accepted and only one way tickets are sold in regional buses.
… a regional train?
You can buy your ticket at the train station or directly at the train from the
conductor or self serving machine (beware you will be charged additional
fee if you buy your ticket from conductor if there is an open ticket office at
the train station). While travelling with Czech Railways (ČD) you can also
buy your ticket through e-shop (more at www.cd.cz/eshop). You can buy
one way ticket or return ticket (either for one person or for a group of two
and more people).

Bikes are transported on selected bus lines (marked with this symbol
in the timetable) roughly from May to September. Seats and spaces for
bikes may be reserved at www.csadplzen.cz.
Transport of bikes in trains may be subjected to obligatory reservation.

Transport of bikes in buses and trains is charged with a fee.

Cistercian monastery in Plasy is the greatest convent building

Pilsen region is the third largest region in the Czech Republic.
The highest point of Pilsen Region is Mokrůvka (1 370 m a.s.l.).
The lowest point is the water surface of river Berounka near Čilá muni cipality (250 m a.s.l.).
Town Konstantinovy Lázně is the smallest spa in the Czech Republic.
National park Šumava is the largest national park in Czech Republic.
In Pilsen Region there is the second longest railway tunnel (1747 m)
in the Czech Republic. It is located near Železná Ruda - Špičák.

Are you travelling with children? All children aged from 6 up to 15 years
of age are entitled for reduced fare (1/2 of regular fare). Children older
than 10 years must present personal ID with their name, photo and date
of birth. One child under 6 years of age can travel free of charge with
one adult.
Groups of two or more people get discounts while traveling with ČD.

All tickets purchased for regional buses are non transfer tickets. When you
travel with a bus and you need to switch to another one (or to train), then it
is not possible to buy just one ticket for the whole journey. You have to buy
two tickets – one from your starting point to the stop where you change
the bus and second from this stop to your final destination. While travelling
with ČD trains you will need only one ticket from your starting point to your
final destination even if you need to change the train (but only trains of ČD).

Jesuits catacombs in Klatovy date back to the end of 17th century.
Domažlice town is the center of Chodsko - the most well-established ethnical district in Bohemia.
Mineral water in Konstantinovy Lázně contains the highest concentration of natural carbon dioxide of all Czech mineral springs.
In Stříbro there is an open-air museum documenting the history of
mining in this region.
Tachov has a well-preserved system of the town entrenchment from
14th century.
In Rokycany there is a Museum of Military at the demarcation line.
Brewery Chodovar in Chodová Planá offers not only guided tours

All tickets mentioned in the table below are single tickets valid only in the
vehicles of Municipal Public Transport Operator (PMDP) in Pilsen.
Transfer tickets
Transfer ticket can be bought with Pilsen Pass.
Pilsen Pass is a non-contact chip card that is used
as an electronic wallet for buying transfer tickets
from self serving machines inside the vehicles of PMDP.
Pilsen Pass can be bought at Pilsen Card sales points.
Where can you top it up? You can do it at the Pilsen Card sales points, at
the self-service terminals or at ATMs of Česká spořitelna.

Paper tickets
Paper tickets are non-transfer tickets that have to be validated (“punched”)
immediately after boarding the vehicle of PMDP. These tickets can be purchased at newspaper stands, tobacconists or Pilsen Card sales points.
Price of the tickets for tariff zone P:
regular fare - 18 CZK
reduced fare - 9 CZK
Price of the tickets for tariff zone V:
regular fare - 8 CZK
reduced fare - 4 CZK
Non-transfer tickets can be purchased also from the driver for 30 CZK
(tariff zone P) or for 20 CZK (tariff zone V).
