Brief course description:
The subject provides a concise history of the Middle Eastern countries in the period
between two world wars. It is treating the situation that emerged after the Post-war
peace settlement when the region was put under the mandate of Great Britain and
France. Instead of coming together, the Arabs found themselves being pulled apart.
These were the roots of permanent Arab bitterness.
