The BOHEMIA OPEN (previously known as the SOUTH BOHEMIA GP) is held within the activities of the CSKU
(Cz ech Shotok an K arat e Union, www.shotok ankar at e.cz) with t he ai m to maxi mally s upport youth in sports, or
more precisely to secur e su pport, cr eat e t he back ground and to h elp with all asp ects of organisation etc. for all
our members an d ther efore to assist in their sports growth. The partn er of the organisation aut horised within
the organisation of this event is FIGHT CLUB ČESKÉ BUD ĚJOVI CE (www.figh t-clu b.cz).
BOHEMIA OP EN is an op en int ernational Championship of th e Cz ech Republic of th e Cz ech Shotokan Kar ate
Union organised in accord anc e with rules and regu lations of the WKF, comp lemented with Ipon Shobu
categories in co mpli anc e with th e WSKU.
The BOHEMIA OPEN is an ev ent w hose aim is to provide youn g kar at e practitioners with t he possibility to
meet ov er on e d ay within a sports hall with their oppo nen ts as w ell as so me of th e b est k arat e practitioners from v arious cou ntries co mpetin g in the senior c at egory
who belong amon gst med al hold ers from the Europ ean Championship and World Championship of th e WKF an d possibly to b e pres ent o n a tat ami at th e s ame ti me as
the seniors.
The BOHEM IA OPEN allows all exp erienced co mp etitors and s enior kar ate prac titioners to pass on t heir art visually as w ell as person ally to younger gen erations, to
support th em through p articipation within th eir practicing and love of karate, to beco me th eir role mod els and to creat e turn in g points t hat will be inspirational, their
driving force and motivation for future periods.
