Chlum proslul válečnými událostmi v roce 1866 a naleznete zde Muzeum války 1866, rozhlednu, informační centrum, ossarium, pruský hřbitov a mnoho
pomníků a památníků. Návštěvu rozhledny rozhodně doporučujeme, protože návrší Chlum je jedním z nejvyšších bodů v okolí a přehlédnete odtud nejen celé bojiště bitvy roku 1866, ale i krásnou krajinu Polabské nížiny. Pokud
se vydáte od rozhledny směrem k místní části Lípa a na konci lesíka po polní
cestě doprava z kopce dolů po hraně lesa, dojdete k oplocené oboře s daňky.
Chlum/Lípa - Fallow Deer Game Park
Chlum gained notoriety with the wartime events of 1866, and is home to the
1866 War Museum, a lookout tower, information centre, ossuary, Prussian
cemetery, and countless monuments and memorials. We recommend visiting
the lookout tower because the Chlum hilltop is one of the highest points in the
area, and you can not only view the entire 1866 battleground, but the beautiful landscape of the Elbe lowlands as well. If you set out from the lookout tower toward the district of Lípa and then turn left at the end of the forest onto a downhill dirt road along the edge of the forest, you will come to a fenced
game park with fallow deer.
