O Palečkovi
Část 1 (2 suknice, 1 židle pro ktále)
Vypravěč: I král Jiří měl svého šaška, říkali mu Bratr
Paleček.
Paleček:
Jsem člověk veselý , ale i spravedlivý a
pomáhám lidem k právu a spravedlnosti.
Nemám rád lež a křivdu a pomáhám chudým.
Vypravěč: Urozenci tvrdili, že si Paleček příliš potrpí na
pěkné věci, a že není ani trochu skromný. Jednou
takhle Paleček potkal nuzně oblečeného muže, a
tak mu daroval svou suknici a hned běžel ke králi.
Paleček:
Tumáš.
Nuzně oblečený muž:
Děkuji ti.
Paleček:
Bratře králi, dej mi novou suknici ! Potkal
jsem Pána Boha a daroval jsem mu ji.
Vypravěč:
Král:
Král se divil a pravil.
Pověz, Palečku milý, kde jsi potkal Pána Boha?
Vypravěč: Paleček se podíval na krále vyčítavým
pohledem, pokrčil rameny a řekl.
Brother Palecek (Little Thumb)
Part 1 (2 kilts, 1 chair for the King)
Narrator: A long time ago King George had a jester.
People called him Brother Palecek.
Palecek:
I am a merry (joyful) guy. But I am a fair
one, too and I help people to get law and justice. I
don´ t like lies and injustice. I like to help poor
people.
Narrator: Noblemen said that Brother Palecek liked
pretty clothes and he wasn´t at all modest. But
they weren´t right.
One day Brother Palecek met a poor ragged man.
He gave him his kilt to keep him warm.
Palecek:
Here you are.
Ragged poor man: Thank you.
Narrator:
Then he ran to the King.
Palecek:
Brother King, can I have a new kilt, please? I
met our Lord (God) and I gave it to him.
Narrator:
King:
The King was surprised and asked:
Tell me, dear Palecek, where did you meet Our
Lord?
Narrator:
Brother Palecek shrugged his shoulders.
Paleček:
Cokoliv jste mému nejmenšímu učinili, mě
jste učinili. A tak jsem vlastně svou suknici daroval tomu,
který tu větu kdysi dávno vyslovil.
Vypravěč: Král se zamyslil, pak se usmál a daroval
svému šaškovi zbrusu novou suknici, neboť věděl,
že má pravdu.
Král: Tumáš, Bratře Palečku.
Paleček:
Děkuji, bratře králi. (hluboká úklona)
Konec 1. části
Palecek:
Whatever you did for the least of mine,
you did for me. So I gave the kilt to the one who said
this a long time ago.
Narrator: The King thought, smiled and gave his jester
a new kilt because he knew that Brother Palecek
was right.
King: Here you are, Brother Palecek.
Palecek:
Thank you, brother King. (makes a low bow úklona)
End of part 1
Část 2 (1 lavice – šafářův stůl, 1 ubrus, nějaké talíře)
Vypravěč: Kdykoliv Paleček mohl, pomohl vždy rád
chudým, ale když přišel čas na jídlo, Paleček hned
běžel do kuchyně k šafáři nebo k zemanovi.
Šafář:
Když u nás jíš, mohl bys nám pomoci.
Paleček:
Pomáhám jen chudým, a když ty budeš
chudý, také ti rád pomohu.
(?v pozadí šibenice?)
Vypravěč: Jednou se stala kdesi v domě vražda, lidé
povolali biřice, kteří vtrhli do domu a v jedné
chodbě našli muže. Ihned bez rozmyslu ho odvedli
na šibenici, i přes to,že křičel, že je nevinný.
Muž:
Jsem nevinný! Jsem nevinný!
Paleček:
Dovolává se krále. Proč ho nevyslyšíte?
Počkejte přeci, jdu to králi oznámit.
Part 2 (1 desk, 1 tablecloth, 1 tray, some plates)
Narrator: Anytime that Brother Palecek could help, he
did. He liked to help the poor. But when there was
time for eating, Brother Palecek ran to the bailiff´s
kitchen…
Bailiff: When you eat here, you could help us!
Palecek:
I only help the poor. If you become poor I
will be happy to help you.
(a gallows-tree in the background – šibenice v pozadí)
Narrator: One day, a murder was committed. People
called for soldiers. They burst into the house and
found a man. Immediately, without asking, they
took him to the gallows. The man was screaming.
Man:
I am innocent! I am innocent! I want to speak to
the King!
Palecek:
He wants to speak to the king! Why don’t you
listen to him? Wait! I’m going to inform the
king…
Vypravěč: Jakmile se o tom král dozvěděl, nechal vraha
přivést k sobě a dal mu slovo.Muž se hájil a král hodně
dlouho přemýšlel, až nakonec řekl…
Král:
Dobrá tedy, máš 4 týdny na to, abys prokázal
svou nevinu, nebo budeš popraven.
Vypravěč: Do té doby se našel opravdový vrah a
obviněný muž byl propuštěn.
Muž:
Děkuji ti, Bože! Děkuji ti Bratře Palečku.
Vypravěč: Paleček byl šťastný, že se nikomu nic nestalo.
Konec 2. části
Narrator: As soon as the king found out, he called for
the murderer and let him speak. The man defended
himself and the king thought for a long time.
Finally the king said…
King:
Well, you have got four weeks to prove you are
innocent or you will be executed.
Narrator: After some time the real murderer was found
and the accused man was released.
Man:
Thank you, God. Thank you, Brother Palecek.
Narrator: Brother Paleček was happy, that everything
was all right.
End of part 2
Část 3 (3 lavice – pro krále, urozené a chudé, 3 ubrusy,
velké a malé ryby z kartonu 3 tácy)
Vypravěč: Podobných příběhů se povídá o Palečkovi
hodně, ale existují i jiné, daleko lepší, kde
prokazuje svou chytrost a bystrost. Jednou se
konala u krále veliká hostina na počest vzácných
hostů a Paleček si jako obvykle přisedl ke stolu u
dveří. Jedlo se a hodovalo, služebníci přinesli na
stůl nejrůznější ryby. Před ty méně urozené ryby
menší a drobnější a na stůl u dveří jen malé
běličky. Paleček ani oknem nemrkl, vzal tu
nejmenší rybu, přiložil si ji k uchu a tiše se zeptal.
Paleček:
Nevíš sestřičko něco o mém bratru?
Vypravěč:
Paleček jen povzdychl a stále se ptal dál a dál.
Král:
Šašku, ihned pojď sem a vysvětli mi své jednání.
Paleček
Inu, měl jsem bratra rybáře a utopil se v řece,
nikdo mi o něm nic neřekl, a tak se aspoň ptám
ryb.
Král:
A dozvěděl ses něco?
Part 3 (3 desks, 3 table clothes, smaller and bigger fish,
3 trays - tácy)
Narrator: Many stories are told about Brother Palecek,
where he shows his intelligence and brightness.
One day the king had a great feast for his guests.
Little Thumb, as usual, sat at the table near the
door with the poor people. People ate, drank and
celebrated. Servants brought many different kinds
of fish and put them on the tables. The less noble
men got smaller fish and the smallest fish were
served on the tables near the door. Little Thumb
took the smallest fish and put it at his ear…
Palecek:
Little sister, do you know anything about my
brother?
Narrator: Brother Palecek sighed and he kept asking the
fish again and again…
King:
Jester! Come here now and tell me…What are you
doing?
Palecek:
Well, I had a brother. He was a fisherman and
he drowned in the river. Nobody knows about him,
so I’m asking the fish.
King:
And did you find out anything?
Paleček:
Bohužel nic, říkají, že jsou mladé a nemohou
nic vědět, abych se ptal starších.
Král:
Kuchaři, přineste na stůl ty největší ryby.
Vypravěč:
A tak se měli díky Palečkovi dobře všichni.
Konec 3. části
Palecek:
They don’t know. They say they are too small
and young. They say I should ask the older and
bigger ones.
King:
Cooks! Bring the biggest fish to the tables!
Narrator: So everyone was happy thanks to Brother
Palecek.
End of part 3
Část 4 (2 postele ze 6 židlí, 2-4 deky, váček s penězi)
Vypravěč: Šašek také ochotně a rád rozdával peníze
chudým, protože věděl, že od krále dostane další,
které opět rozdá.Jednou se ubytoval v krčmě, ale
s ním i podivný muž, který chtěl šaška okrást. Ale
šašek jeho lest prokoukl.
Paleček:
Milý chlapče, vím, jaký máš záměr, a vím, že
bychom se proto celou noc nevyspali. Víš co?
Dám ti půlku svých peněz a budeme oba
spokojeni. A teď ti přeji dobrou noc.
Podivný muž (překvapeně): ...Děkuji ti. ... Dobrou noc.
Vypravěč: Takový byl Paleček - chytrý, moudrý, hodný
a hlavně poctivý. Svým jednáním připomínal králi,
že spravedlnost je to nejdůležitější
Říká se, že když nadešel šaškův čas, královi se po
něm tak stýskalo, že brzy odešel za ním.
Konec
Part 4 (2 beds = 6 chairs, 2-4 blankets - deky,
a moneybag)
Narrator: The jester also liked giving money to the poor
because he knew he would get more from the king
to give to the poor people again. One day he was
staying in a tavern. He slept in one room together
with a strange man who wanted to steal his
money. But Brother Palecek suspected what the
man wanted to do…
Palecek:
Dear boy, I know what you want. I know we
both wouldn´t sleep all night. I have an idea - I´ll
give you half of my money and we can both be
happy. And now ... (I wish you a) good night!
Strange man (surprised):
...Thank you. ... Good night.
Narrator: So, Brother Palecek was like that. He was
clever, wise and kind but primarily, he was honest.
His deeds reminded the King that justice was the
most important of all.
People say that when Brother Palecek died, the
King missed him so much that he followed him
quite soon.
