SMÍTKA, D.: Inventarizace třešně ptačí na Školním lesním podniku Křtiny s poznámkami k jejímu pěstování _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ INVENTARIZACE TŘEŠNĚ PTAČÍ NA ŠKOLNÍM LESNÍM PODNIKU KŘTINY S POZNÁMKAMI K JEJÍMU PĚSTOVÁNÍ David Smítka Abstract Smítka, D.: An inventory of wild cherry on the Křtiny Training Forest Enterprise with some notes on its silvicultural principles An inventory of wild cherry (Cerasus avium) has been realised in 2001-2. All trees found in selected districts during field investigation have been classified on the basis of eight criteria of a classification scale proposed (classified features: tree and crown position, health condition, stem diameter, stem curvature, branching – form and density, crown shape). Within the study area, 103 trees have been recorded, of which 23 % have been put into class I (trees of the best quality) and 27 % into class V (trees of the worst quality). Worth mentioning are two trees with a remarkable tallness of 32.5 m and stem diameter of 54.6 cm, respectively. Natural regeneration of wild cherry was comparatively richer only in two stands (about 2 and 10 thousand of trees per hectare, respectively) and its occurrence correlates with light condition under canopy. According to annual ring analysis the oldest tree was 78 years old. Annual ring correlates with light condition in stand. Wild cherry is considered a very perspective tree species in both economical and aesthetic-ecological point of view. In practice, especially artificial regeneration is realised, further stand tending is based on pruning and silvicultural measures aimed at profit of target trees. Keywords: wild cherry, noble hardwood, inventory, silviculture _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Sborník z konference: DŘEVINY A LESNÍ PŮDA – BIOLOGICKÁ MELIORACE A JEJÍ VYUŽITÍ.
