OKO letos slaví 5. narozeniny.
Připravili jsme pro Vás na čtvrtek
4. září odpoledne „Den otevřených
dveří“ spojený s oslavou, výtvarnou
dílnou a dárečky pro děti ,výstavou
fotografií „OKO - 5 let s námi“ a
s překvapením v podvečer dne.
Přijďte se k nám podívat. Těšíme

Zápis do jazykových kurzů (A, N, Fr, Šp, R, I)
pro děti, mládež i dospělé od začátečníků přes různé stupně pokročilosti až ke
konverzačním kurzům s rodilými mluvčími a přípravě k jazykovým zkouškám.
Vyučujeme v malých skupinkách 4-10 osob s důrazem na komunikaci. Do výuky
pravidelně zařazujeme konverzace s rodilými mluvčími. Uzávěrka přihlášek:

Na děti čekají zájmové kroužky „Šikovné ruce“, „Novinář/ reportér“, „Fotograf“.
Ve všech jazykových kurzech jsou zahrnuty pravidelné konverzace s rodilými
mluvčími - Joanne (GB), Valériane (Fr), Linda (N) a Flora (Belgie), pro pokročilé
studenty jsou s nimi připraveny pravidelné konverzační kluby. Dokončujeme nové
vzdělávací projekty, rozšiřujeme spolupráci se školami. V zimě se můžete těšit na nové

My name is Valériane
Gaillard.
I come from France. I live exactly in a town very near
Paris, Kremlin-Bicêtre. But I spend all my time in Paris.
I am 24 years old and I finished my studies of
management in the university La Sorbonne. During my
leisure time, I play violin and I like playing tennis as well.
I decided to do an European Volunteer Service because
I think it’s a good opportunity to support a project and to
discover a new culture at the same time. I chose a
cultural project like OKO because I am keen on learning
by sharing my own culture.Indeed I am here also to bring
a vision of my country.
I will be here one year, until may 2009. I think this
experience will be really rewarding.
Quelques différences
entre la France et
la République tchèque
Salutation :
En France pour se dire bonjour, dans des situations informelles, on s’embrasse sur
la joue. 4 fois à Paris mais ça dépend des régions.
Les repas :
En France il y a un dessert après le repas et le plat principal est toujours salé,
jamais sucré.
En France, on boit généralement du vin ou de l’eau plate pour accompagner les
repas, moins souvent de la bière ou de l’eau gazeuse comme en République
tchèque.
Voyager :
Prendre le train en France est assez cher. Mais on a le TGV (train à grande
vitesse). Et le tourisme « vert » (camping, randonnées…) se généralise seulement
depuis peu, comparé à la République tchèque où c’est une tradition.
Musique :
En France, la musique de variétés est moins rock qu’en République tchèque et le
ska est beaucoup moins populaire chez les jeunes qu’ici.
Sport :
En France, le football passionne plus les foules que le hockey sur glace. La salsa et
la danse orientale sont préférées aux danses traditionnelles pour les bals (tango,
country, valse…).

WELCOME TO FRANCE
France is a country of about 64 millon
inhabitants. There are all kinds of landscapes
there : mountains, sea, towns, countryside…
The capital is Paris.
In the morning, french people are used to have
for breakfast coffee and baguette (it’s a long
bread). After that they are ready for a working
day.
Most of them work in a office. Farmer represent
only 3% of workers. By this time children go to
school. In the french system, they work from 9
to 16.30 but they have several holidays which
correspond to celebrations generally religious.
France is a non religious state but tradition is
catholicism. Now, it’s a mix of different
cultures and every religion has its place.
Most of french people live in towns and
in the suburbs. The image of suburbs is
quite bad because people with
difficulties live there. But it depends on
which suburbs.
Thanks to its long history, France has a
lot of monuments : castle of Versailles,
mont Saint-Michel, arena of Nîmes,
cathedrals…This history brought also
rights and allowed inhabitants to live
better. The health system is a good
example of this because people from
different backgrounds can have the
same health care.
French cooking is famous around the
world for its amazing taste. But every
region has its speciality.
France is made up of several regions
with their own identity but we can see
that there is a real national feeling when
France must choose his place on the
international scene or for international
sports events.

My name is Linda Fraune and I am 19 years
old. I come from Kassel, a town in the middle of
Germany with approximately 200.000 inhabitants. I
have a brother who is 22 years old. He lives and
studies in Hamburg. This summer I finished grade 13,
the last year of school for Germans who want to
acchieve a general qualification for an university
entrance. I am working in OKO-Centrum in Rychnov
from September 2008 untill February 2009.
In my freetime I like doing sports. Twice a week I take
dancing lessons in Jazz-Dance and Ballett. Once a
week I teach children from 12 to 14 years of age in
Teenie-Jazz. I like the people in my dancing classes
very much and it is always a lot of fun to dance with
them or to teach them dancing. Besides from dancing I
like to go jogging with friends in the park and to ski in the
winter. In addition to that I like to spend time with my
friends or my family. We go for walks, watch movies, go
shopping and in the summer we often go swimming in
the public swimming places or in a lake nearby. If I have
time for myself I like to read books or bake and cook.
I decided to do an EVS after finishing school as I
would like to experience something totally different
before starting to study. In my opinion taking part in
the programme is a great chance to gain new experiences and to broaden one´s horizone. I like that the programme enables you to meet
new people, make new friends and to get to know another country, its culture and its
language.
Choosing a country to spend my EVS at, I came across the
Czech Republic as I have never been there before. I also
realised that, although the Czech Republic is one of Germany
´s neighbours, I know little about it compared to other
neighbours such as France or Switzerland. Spending 6 months
of my life in Rychnov is a great chance for me to find out
more about the czechs culture and way of life and
discover in which ways it differs from the german one. I
am looking forward to that at lot.
Looking for a project my attention was attracted by OKO-Centrum as I am interested in
topics such as culture, tradition and intercultural learning. I am motivated to inform
others about Germany, the german culture and german traditions and how I experience
them. And I am also excited to find out more about the Czech culture through my work
at OKO-Centrum. In addition to that I am interested in helping out in the language
courses offered at OKO-Centrum, as I am thinking of studying teaching after my EVS.
