Tips for a Successful Video Interview
Tips for a Successful Video Interview Dress professionally- Remember that this is the first time Camp Directors will see you in person. Appearance does matter! Make sure that your hair is brushed, your clothes look nice, and your posture is straight. Smile! Camp Directors are looking for positive attitudes and enthusiasm. The more comfortable and happy you look the better your video will come across to the Camp Directors. Speak Clearly- It is important for Camp Directors to see your level of English. Speak clearly and loud enough that your answers will be understood. Be positive! Always make sure to give positive answers in your interview. Camp Directors are not looking to hire people who get stressed easily, hate working long hours, or don't work well in a team. Stay positive, positive, positive! Show Confidence- Confidence is key. Staring straight into the camera, smiling, and pronouncing your words clearly are all signs of confidence. Camp Directors are looking for confident people who will be leaders in their camp. Have Fun! While the video interviews are meant to show your English level, they also are showing off your personality, so have fun! Directors want to see participants who are enjoying themselves and not too nervous or serious. Smiling, laughing, and being playful are all positive characteristics for Camp Directors.
