LO-FI WASHER
Fascination for how old, Swedish, wooden houses can withstand centuries
of bad weather inspired me to work with wood and metal as the only
materials for this human-powered washing machine.
The overall intention with this project is to see if low-technology appliances
have any potential in modern society.

ÅSTA STOOL
Åsta is a stool inspired by traditional Scandinavian furniture.
It’s simple and functional, and every part is made out of wood.
The stool is easy to package and fold flat for transportation or
storing, thanks to the joinery technique borrowed from old
carpentry clamps.
When you push the handle down, the leg is no longer locked to
the seat, and you can disassemble the stool.

MARKETPLACE
In the light of new ways of living, the Marketplace is a common place where
people can share goods and knowledge. The arrangement of tables and
other elements, such as plug-in cooktops, enables residents to do all sorts of
activities, like cooking or relaxation. The portable greenhouse is a suggestion
to the increasing food awareness and provides the possibility to bring home
grown vegetables.
Being intended for communal usage, the materials used are in accordance with
maintenance and hygiene.

ROOT
When it comes to storing food effectively and
well, conventional refrigerators is not always the
answer but often part of the problem. Root provides
appropriate storage for different kinds of food, with
the goal of minimizing waste. By sectioning the piece
into compartments with different temperatures and
humidity, food keeps longer; additionally the sections
provide a clear overview and increased accessibility.
The unit can easily be retrofitted since it has the
measurements of a standard fridge.

IVAN
Unlike the rest, Ivan is the result of a 3rd semester
BA course in Design Methodology, with the brief
to design a hand tool for a brand of your choice.
The citrus press can be used for all kinds of citrus
fruits. Slots prevent pulp and cores from sliding
into the bowl; the quadrangular shape inside
makes it easy to pour the juice from each corner.

LAMPE
Lampe is a series of lamps created with local materials and
craftsmanship in mind. It was important from start, to think
responsible, and to bring in value and history. The floor lamp
consists of a body in sustainable Danish pinewood and a shade
of natural clay.
The shades are produced in collaboration with pottery maker
Lilian Jensen.
