23rd Year of Our Business
Dear friends,
the year 2013 has ended and a lot of finished work together with it. We set the
bar higher than in the previous year, we trained a lot, chose new preparatory
methods, focused all our physical and mental strengths on reaching it.
The whole realization team worked perfectly. We managed to accomplish
difficult advanced goals and we carry on in our efforts and reaching further.
WE KNOW HOW
The year 2013 was characterised by uniting the whole Valbek group
and working together on set up goals. Results and achievements were
reached thanks to the effort of all our colleagues. We managed and we
still do create specialised teams with a high level of knowledge.
WE CAN DO IT
The time, when our main activity was the design, is long gone. There are completely new
potential projects where we can apply our competence and knowledge. By not avoiding
acquisitions, we complete our portfolio of services. Czech and Slovak market is still our
main domain, but foreign markets are our ambition and targets. By participating at least on
parts of projects abroad, we can be successful even there. There are already operations
undergoing in west of the Czech Republic in Austria, Denmark and Sweden. Regarding
the eastern direction, we are participating on projects in Russia and the Balkans.
We are a multiprofession group of companies currently
offering broad spectrum of services.

VISUALISATION
3D models
Autodesk 3D Studio MAX
OPENTRACK
Tool for railroads simulations. It is used by railroad companies, administrators, contractors,
consultants and universities around the world.
For 3D modelling, we use one of the most complicated
modelling software on the market. It offers basically all
types of actions for work with 3D graphics. The main
aspect in construction modelling is the compatibility
with other Autodesk software, for instance importing
DWG files.
Chaosgroup V-ray 3.0
For rendering, we use state of the art technologies.
Thanks to V-ray 3.0, our results are even more realistic
than before.
Autodesk MassFX
Apart the possibility of static 3D model, we are
able to develop models with its own physics. The
typical examples are a car in a rough terrain, realistic
movement of particles during the object demolition
or effects with moving objects.
Rayfirestudios Rayfire
We use professional tools for simulating object
fractures during demolition with many types of
disintegration. This provides us a realistic model
of object breakup even if the object is created from
more materials (i.e. joists, bricks, plaster).
Provides designs in area of traffic,
infrastructure and timetables.
Next Limit Technologies Realflow
Fluid simulation is a typical type of modelling with
the large usability not only in water resource projects.
Realflow can be used in other applications, such as
promotion on water / milk.
Itoo ForestPro
We control very quickly an expanding library of plants
with the immense level of detail. It allows us to illustrate
the environment with trees, bushes, plants or field
plants. Apart the specific details of each plant, we are
also able to add physics to each object, such as wind
bending the trees. This gives more authenticity to the
resulting video.
Aerial Photos
We are able to shoot video and take photographs with
a flying drone. This is especially useful for following
visualisations and also photo documenting from the
sky, giving resulting photos an interesting perspective.
The photographs are taken in 20Mpix resolution and
1080p with up to 60fps for videos.

VISSIM
is the ultimate software for microscopic simulations of
individual and public transport. Thanks to the high level
of processed detail, VISSIM provides precise simulation
of municipal transport including cyclists and pedestrians
as well as motorway parts or interchange crossroads.
It connects transportation engineering experiences with
the possibility of presentation in 3D animations.
Advantages over other tools:
• All participants of road/sidewalk environment are
included in one simulation
• Full integration of pedestrians
• High level of geometric details of transportation grid
VISSIM is able to simulate a variety of basic as well as
unique geometric and operational conditions occurring
in the transportation grid. Also, it is able to simulate such
layout of crossroads and intersections which cannot be
analysed by typical calculation methods.
VISUM
is a complex and flexible software system for
transportation planning, modelling of transport
demand and network data management. VISUM
is applied in metropolitan, regional and national
planning. It is designed to provide multi-modal
analysis, integrating all important means of transport
(cars, passengers, trucks, buses, trains, bikes, cyclists
and pedestrians) into one consistent network model.
Advantages:
• Unified system suitable for strategic and operational
planning
• Possibility of simulating changes on roads (construction
of new sections, changes in organization)
• User can define time lapses of analysis - rush hour,
events, night traffic, etc.
• Close connection to simulation software VISSIM
• Differential options of traffic load between two states
(before and after realization of transport construction)
• Choosing routes according to criteria
with regard to road capacity
• Statistics of transport performance

2 Aspe
software research
and development
Division Aspe achieved in 2013 several significant milestones in
the development of Aspe® system. Our decision to orient not only
on standard system Aspe®, but also on the development of web
solution and managerial portal proved to be a good choice. We
maintain high quality and pace of developing the whole system
and we manage to address needs and requirements of our clients.
There has been several new modules regarding the web client
and many new reports in Managerial Information Portal (MIP).
Our customers show large interest and trust in our work and our services to them.
Even in following years, we will invest in innovation and better services for our clients.
The year 2013 was mainly about customizing the user interface and realization of large
changes. The main goal is to improve ergonomics of controlling Aspe®. Changes concern
basically all products - web modules, MIP and mainly the standard desktop solution.
Innovation elements significantly ease up the work of our customers. They provide
possibilities of customized assignment of favourite printing sets and expanding the toolbar
by new functions helping to minimize the number of processes for each function.
Apart these principal changes oriented on users comfort, there is also
a development of mobile platform applications undergoing. Even today,
users are able to work with MIP reports on mobile touch-screen devices.
Continuously, other parts of system Aspe® will be redesigned.
The year 2013 was crucial from the point of newly developed system for file
management and flow of documents - document management system (DMS).
It covers all phases of projects, from the preparation to the realization. Our DMS will be
able to effectively manage and share company documents and related information.
New system will offer all functions that are standard to similar exiting DMS solutions.
Next year, we will prepare a new module - Technological Model oriented on needs of construction companies regarding the point of
planning and managing costs during the project realization.

history
Sensitive reconstruction of railroad
bridge over Labe in Lovosice
Based on the investor's requirements after the floods in 2002, a project dealing
with remediation of current substructure of above mentioned bridge was prepared.
The substructure is comprised of quality chiseled sandstone around the perimeter
and the core is filled with concrete. Proposed reconstruction of the bridge dealt with
the improvement of the substructure by means of an extensive remediation.
