The sights in Rumburk
The Loretto Chaple is the main tourist attraction.The chapel was built by Jan Lukas Hildebrandt
between 1704 – 1709.The most remarkable part of this complex is a Nativity scene with Black
Madonna:
This jewel is surrounded by a square gallery where 14 Stations of the Cross are situated.The Loretto
Chapel is at the centre of the town.

The Plague Column is another tourist attraction.It is situated on Lužické square.
The Plague Column
It was built in early baroque style in 1681.
The statues of saints that surround the column were placed there after1725.
In the years 1995 – 1996 the column was generally reconstructed and some elements were replaced.

The viewtower Dýmník
The viewtower was opened 27th September 1896.The stone viewtower is 15 metres high.The
construction is situated on the top of the hill at the elevation of 516 metres above sea level.There is
also a restaurant not far from the viewtower.
