Anotace kursu: Vybrané problémy egyptských dějin prodiskutujeme s cílem nahlédnout blíže
do historikova, v tomto případě egyptologova, řemesla. Kromě rozboru metod a kritiky
pramenů nám půjde i o stopování určitých interpretačních vzorců a schémat v historické práci.
Kurs bude veden formou seminářů s aktivní účastí studentů, v anglickém jazyce. Předpokládá
se již určitá znalost egyptské historie. Účastníci dostanou kromě úvodního seznamu
doporučené literatury také doplňující četbu ke každému tématu a to s předstihem, aby si mohli
připravit krátké referáty.
Struktura kursu (anglicky) Course structure:
The course comprises of seven themes arranged in ten classes; participants will be asked to
read additional literature related to each theme and use their pre-existent knowledge of select
problems of Egyptian history, culture and society.
