Tourregionfilm, a younger brother of the oldest Tourfilm festival, also turns twenty. In fact, the number 20 will be communicated many times throughout the year. In April, we will open the tourist season at Czech castles and chateaux and using 20 symbolic keys, we would like to open 20 of them. We would like to bring Karlovy Vary Week back to life, twice actually, in spring and in autumn, and to wrap the traditional Porcelain Days festival, the spa season opening and the Food Cup up into one neat little package. Summer will begin with an open-air festival featuring 20 reasons why a vacation in the Czech Republic would be entertaining. Together with our colleagues from Czech Television, we will present the fourth holiday series of the Toulavá kamera vychutnává Česko (The Wandering Camera Enjoying the Czech Republic) weekly documentary. In September, we will welcome the Glass Art Festival at Prague Castle, accompanied by 20 large-scale photographs showing 20 topics from the modern Czech Republic’s history. In autumn, we will further strengthen our involvement in the CzechSpecials project and are planning a number of other activities. As you can see, there is a lot to look forward to this year. Ostrava The Moravian-Silesian Region. 3 The Czech Republic – Your Favorite MICE destination Hundreds of thousands attend congresses and conferences in the Czech Republic each year, and each year their numbers are growing. Curious why? Because: Only a few places on Earth can offer such an untouched wealth of culture and history alongside sophisticated global businesses, modern convention centers and congress halls, cutting edge technological infrastructure, style and comfort. 4 Because: Combine this with the ideal location of the country in the very heart of Europe and you get a combination MICE events organizers cannot resist. The Czech Republic is easily reachable from almou everywhere. Its main international airport, the Prague´s Vaclav Havel Airport, serves nearly 11 million passengers annually, with 49 airlines offering direct flights to 132 destinations all over the world. Because: The Czech Republic is a small country, so you can see most of it, and there is a lot to see! To date, twelve towns and monuments have been included in the UNESCO heritage list, a remarkable achievement for such a small country. Because: You don´t have to worry. The Czech Republic is a safe destination, and safety is extremely important in today´s world. Both large international event attendees and ordinary tourists arrive in the country every day to enjoy a pleasant, safe stay. Because: Prague is such a gem. And more gems are scattered across the country, be it Český Krumlov, Kutná Hora, Telč or Kroměříž. Because: When organizing a MICE event here, you will see that your imagination is your only limit. Holding a MICE event at a castle? Historical costume dinner with a private classical music koncert? Reception at an old industrial site? No problem at all. Because: You will get good value for your money. The selection of quality venues, accommodation and programs is broad, and the high quality comes at a reasonable and competitive prices. info Prestigious European award for CzechTourism’s Czech Convention Bureau (CzCB) CARLSBAD CONVENTION BUREAU, o.p.s.
