2nd RC Rally Český Krumlov to show beautiful cars
Although there is still a few days before the application deadline for 2nd RC Rally Český Krumlov,
even now we know that there will be more than twenty cars. There are both last year seen and
new cars awaiting their debut among those already registered.
After the first closure on May 15th (needed for programs printing), twenty-four names are in the start
list. Jiří Hadrava with Ford Focus WRC will undergo eight SS in the České Budějovice exhibition area
with number one. Apart from winning last year Hadrava is also after three races the current leader of
the radio controlled cars championship of Český Krumlov. Last year winner Petr Havlík will have
number two on his Ford Focus WRC. Gold medal ambitions will surely have Pavel Matějček with
Citroën Xsara WRC and number three or Pavel Skoupý with MG Metro 6R4 and number four.
The youngest competitors will also offer great entertainment when fighting without mercy for every
single second. The category “Super junior” is open for boys and girls younger than eleven years of
age. The highest ranking has Michal Perník who will be piloting Škoda Fabia S2000 designed into last
year colors of Estonian Karl Kruuda. Michal is currently the fastest young man in Český Krumlov
championship. Last year winner Jan Benych will also fight for the victory, as he will for the first time
race with legendary Lancia Delta S4 in factory colors used by Miki Biasion. Other young drivers will be
Vít Kříž with Volkswagen Golf GTI and Jakub and Michaela Šenovi both controlling Mitsubishi Evo VII.
The list of participants for 2nd RC Rally Český Krumlov is very long. There are WRC cars (Škoda Octavia
WRC, Škoda Fabia WRC, Citroën Xsara WRC, Ford Focus WRC), the newest S2000s (Škoda Fabia
S2000, Fiat Grande Punto S2000) or famous cancelled B class cars (MG Metro 6R4, Lancia Delta S4,
Ford RS 200, Lancia 037 Rally or Lancia Stratos). Among the historic cars there are Fiat 131 Abarth or
Lancia Delta HF Integrale. The host country will be represented by Lada Samara in colors of JZD
Agrokombinát Slušovice and by Škoda Fabia S2000 this year driven by Jaromír Tarabus.
The final deadline is set to May 22, so any potential participants need to be quick, as there are only a
few places left.
