Parophonus (Ophonomimus) hirsutulus (Dejean, 1829). Moravia mer., Uherčice (7065),
14.vi.2010, 1 ♀, on a field edge together with Dolichus halensis (Schaller, 1783) and Amara
anthobia A. Villa et G. B. Villa, 1833, M. Linhart lgt., det. et coll., K. Resl revid. TuranianMediterranean species distributed from Iberian Peninsula and Morocco throughout southern
Europe to southern European Russia, Kazakhstan and Asia Minor (Kataev et al. 2003, Vigna
Taglianti 2011). In central Europe known from Hungary (Vigna Taglianti 2011) and Slovakia
(Veselý & Těťál 1998). Further unpublished records from Slovakia: Slovakia mer.: Jurský
Chlm (8177), 6.v.2001, 52 spec., K. Resl & M. Linhart lgt., det. et coll.; Čenkov (8177),
28.v.2003, 1 spec. (at light) on a former shooting-range near Čenkovská steppe, P. Veselý lgt.,
det. et coll.; Velký Lél (8273), 20.v.2005, 1 spec., J. Gahaj lgt. et coll., F. Grycz det. Slovakia
or.: Turňa nad Bodvou (7391), 1.vii.2008, 1 spec. (at light), F. Houška lgt. et coll., P. Veselý
det.; Malý Horeš (7597), 12.vi.2010, 1 spec. (at light), K. Resl lgt., det. et coll. Based on the
available data, it may be concluded that there is a gradual northern migration of this species.
The first record for Southern Moravia suggests a continuing spread of the area of occurrence
of this species. New species for the Czech Republic.
