5K GHOST RUN & Poker Walk

Registration for all events start at 9:00 am on Old Main Street, Downtown Bradenton.
5K GHOST RUN 4:00 P.M.
Chip timed 5K run through downtown Bradenton and up and back along the beautiful River Walkway. Strollers with little ghosts are welcomed.
Notice No Ghost Busters allowed! Strictly enforced by the Powers that be.
5K GHOST RUN with DOGGIES
4:05 P.M.
Chip timed 5K run which follows the same route as the 5K Ghost Run. Doggies run with their owners a
non-retractable leash. Award tiles for top three M/F finishers with their doggies name engraved. Doggie watering
holes along the course for dogs with proper I.D.
1 MILE FITNESS WALK
4:10 P.M.
1 Mile Fitness Walk to benefit the Robinson Hearts & Minds Foundation. Follows a less challenging route up an
back the River Walk.
POKER WALK
4:10 P.M.
Hosted by the Old Main Street Downtown Merchants Association. Participants can sign up for the 5K and Poker
Walk or just the Poker Walk. Poker Walkers receive their own special poker walk t-shirt and can visit participating
Pubs and enjoy a specially priced beverage then receive a playing card at each. Winning hands obtain special
prizes. Benefits the Robinson Hearts & Minds Foundation.

Our mission is to continue the work Brent and Julia Robinson had begun to positively impact the lives of children and
high school students and provides assistance to children with autism and their families as well as scholarships to
aspiring engineers.

Plus Ugly Costume Contest for Kids, goblins, doggies and biggies commences at 5:30 pm

2:00 p.m. Race Day Registration – On Old Main Street. Sign up for the 5K events, 1 Mile Walk, Kid’s Dashes, or Poker Walk.
3:15 p.m. Kid’s Ghost Races. Features races for children of all ages. The 3-4 year olds rum 100 meters, 5-6 year olds run 200 meters, 7-8 year olds run 400 meters, 10-12
years run 800 meters. All children receive crafted finishers medal, goodie bag, t-shirt, and their own commemorative numbered bib. Trophies go to top boy/girl finishers in
each group. Children 12 and under registered for the 5K can run in Kid’s Ghost races for free. Kid’s costume contest takes place after the Ghost 5K.
4:00 p.m. 5K Ghost Run chip timed; run through downtown Bradenton and onto the beautiful River Walk past Tarpon Point to a Haunted water stop and then back to
Bradenton via the River Walk and to a great post race party catered by the Robinson Hearts & Minds volunteers plus adult beverages with proper ID.
4:05 p.m. 5K Ghost Run with Doggies (their owners on a leash) Follows the same course as the Ghost 5K with three doggie watering holes (Doggies must have proper I.D.)
Owners please no retractable leashes. Top three winners M/F receive a crafted 6” awards tile with their doggies name engraved.
4:10 p.m. One mile fitness walk to benefit the Robinson Foundation travels up to the River Walk and back.
4:10 p.m. Poker Walk Participants can sign up for the 5K run and Poker Walk or just the Poker walk. Participants can sign up on line or at the venue race day at registration
or at designated participating PUBS. Poker walkers receive their own commemorative shirt and then can enjoy a discounted drink at any one of the PUBS. Participants
receive a playing card at each Pub and the winning hands are eligible for prizes. Benefits the Robinson Hearts & Minds Foundation.
5:30 p.m. Ghost after party catered by the Robinson Hearts & Minds Foundation and local restaurants with adult ghost beverages with proper I.D., Children’s activities plus
a ugly costume contest for Children, Adults, and Doggies Too!Complimentary Face Painting.
AWARDS: Top M/F finishers receive a ($100) Fit2Run Gift Certificate. All winners in their respective age groups receive handcrafted award tiles. Categories include M/F
Masters; Grand Masters; Sr Grand Masters; and then Veterans. The age groups three deep M/F 9 & under; 10-14; 15-19 then five year increments to 80+ All awards and
shirts not claimed will be mailed.
