The right poker for your challenge
Internal vibration with pokers is an important step on
the journey towards strong concrete elements. The basic
principle is of course to get air and moisture out in
order to increase density and settle the concrete in the
form. Different equipment is required depending on the
consistency of the concrete and the size and shape of
the form. Conditions on the work site also play a part.

Power to the poker
Electric frequency converters have several advantages
compared to drive units for mechanical pokers. To
begin with they can supply several pokers with power
simultaneously. No fumes, less noise and lower weight
are highly regarded,
as is stable power
output.
UP TO FOUR
OUTLETS
Atlas Copco offers rotary frequency converters, equipped with 1, 2 or 4 outlets, from 11 to 67 amps, and
fitted with steel frames curved upwards at each end
to facilitate hand portability. Special versions with
protected outlets for the precast industry are available
upon request.
The total intensity (in amps) of poker vibrators connected to the
frequency converter should not exceed the stated intensity of
the converter itself.
Add up the intensities of the pokers you wish to run from the
converter; if the sum is lower than the converter’s intensity, you
have selected the correct model of converter.

When you go for a pneumatic poker you will gain access to our widest range
of poker diameters. If a compressor is already present at the worksite the
choice isn’t that hard.
With a mobile compressor you get a very powerful and
flexible drive unit. Noise levels and fuel consumption
has dropped considerably over the past years making
this a more economic and user-friendly alternative
then ever before. A single compressor can run several
pokers, or other pneumatic tools for that matter, simultaneously for increased workflow.
Our range of pneumatic poker vibrators features long
tubes and reliable ball stop handle. The large choice of
diameters, from 26 to 155 mm, makes them suitable for
a wide variety of applications: from concrete lab tests
to dam construction projects. High centrifugal force
and acceleration makes for great end result. The high
radius of action, 10 times the diameter of the poker,
boosts productivity and keeps overall costs down. With
few moving parts service life is extended and hand/arm

vibration reduced. The absence of bearings and highly
resistant tubes and end-caps also contribute to long life.
Since the air that drives the poker also keeps the temperature in the poker head down pneumatic pokers is
independent of cooling from the concrete. This makes
them well suited for wall, beam or column applications.

High capacity mass vibration
The BH160 is a heavy-duty alternative to regular electric or pneumatic pokers in applications
such as dams, dry docks, wave breakers or other mass concrete vibration applications.
Up to 8 pokers can be placed on one hydraulic beam,
controlled by an integrated electronic system. The
beam is then connected to a carrier, e.g. a hydraulic
excavator or bulldozer – a custom designed connection to fit any kind of carrier. To increase efficiency an
ultrasonic sensor detects the concrete and starts the
high-speed vibration. As soon as the pokers leave the
concrete the high-speed vibration stops.

The basic control panel also features a joystick for
rotating the beam in order to cover a bigger area without moving the carrier. Other functions are ON/OFF
buttons and warning signals for filter change and low
temperature.
The standard beam is equipped with one pressure
gauge. As an option the control panel inside the cab
can be equipped with individual digital pressure meters
for each poker. We are able to provide everything from
custom design to start-up and on-site assistance.

Adjustable centrifugal force
ER – Flexibility and performance
Good concrete vibration and excellent results thanks
to flexible, high centrifugal force. In order to increase
flexibility and cost effectiveness, ER207B, ER407B and
507B vibrators are mounted on quick release brackets
for easy portability, thus fewer units are required. Highquality components and materials help you keep life
cycle and maintenance costs down.
Electric vibrators
EP – Noise-reduced efficiency
Suitable for all concrete mixes on civil engineering
sites and in precast factories. A single moving part
improves the possibilities for seamless operation. No
periodic maintenance required. The integrated noise reducer makes these vibrators very quiet. Available with
quick-release brackets.
