WM 253 is a manual electronic instrument designed to control speed
and is particularly suitable for fan
applications.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
WM 253 is a manual electronic instrument
designed to control speed and is particularly suitable for fan applications. It is provided with a triac output to control a load
up to 2.5 A.
OPERATION
The number of motor turns can be adjusted through a knob on the front panel,
which features a grade scale from 0 to
100% of speed. The minimum speed can
be set through the “min speed set” internal
trimmer.
At startup, the instrument supplies the
load the maximum available voltage, corresponding to the maximum speed, for
about 15 seconds, then it restores normal
control functions according to the settings.
MECHANICAL MOUNT
The instrument is designed for wall mount.
Drill two or more holes in correspondence
of those on the instrument and hold it with
the screws provided.
The operating temperature range allowed
for correct operation is –5 e 55 °C.
Do not install the instrument in moist
and/or dirty places and by heat sources. It
was designed for ration in environments
with common/ordinary pollution levels.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
WM 253 is provided with three input/output power lines for the connection to the
230 Vac, the motor (maximum load 2.5 A)
and a switch (available for some versions
only) to turn the load on.
The instrument is provided with screw terminal blocks for wires with maximum
2.5 mm2 (one wire per terminal only, in
compliance with VDE regulations).
Should the charge be in direct current, it is
advisable to install a protective fuse so as
to prevent any damage to the instrument.
