František Sýkora a jeho britský operátor radaru F/O J. F. Oakley. Zmínìná osádka v noci z 12/13. 7. 1943 na tomto Beaufighteru napadla osamìlý Ju 88, který
byl následovnì uznán jako poškozený. Významnìjšího úspìchu na tomto Beau dosáhla osádka P/O Jan Šerhant a radarový operátor F/Sgt Zbyšek Neèas, když
v noci ze 7/8. øíjna 1943, 65 km východnì od Yarmouth poslala do moøe nepøátelský bombardér Do 217. Zobrazený letoun byl vybaven radarem AI.Mk.VIII. Na
pøídi byla po tomto vítìzství namalována bota, jako pøipomínka pøedváleèného pùsobení Jana Šerhanta u firmy Baa a svastika jako symbol dosaženého
sestøelu. Silueta plyšového zajíèka byla talismanem S/Ldr Františka Sýkory.

Flight Commander S/Ldr František Sýkora and his british radar operator F/O J. F. Oakley. Mentioned crew attacked with this Beaufighter lone Ju 88 in the night
12/13. 7. 1943. Ju 88 was later confirmed as damaged. More succesfull crew with this Beau were P/O Jan Šerhant and radar operator F/Sgt Zbyšek Neèas. In
the night 7/8. October 1943, 65 km east of Yarmouth they sent enemy bomber Do 217 into the sea. Viewed aircraft was equiped with radar AI.Mk.VIII. After
mentioned victory a drawing of a shoe and a swastika were painted on the nose as the remembrance of former job of Jan Šerhant in Baa company and the
remembrance of the victory. The painted silhouette of plush bunny was talisman of S/Ldr František Sýkora.

234 vyrobený Defiant Mk.I se u 256 sq. RAF objevuje 10.02.1941. Vzhledem k orientaci jednotky na noèní stíhání byla pùvodní denní kamufláž
doplnìna na spodních plochách èernou matnou barvou Special Night. Stejnou barvou byly nastøíkány horní i boèní plochy. Zde však nebyl nástøik tak
dokonalý a na mnoha místech prosvítala pùvodní tmavì zelená a zemitì hnìdá. Seriálové èíslo bylo èerné a pøi pøestøíkání Defiantu barvou Special
Night není na trupu prakticky vidìt.

234th production Defiant Mk. I arrived to No 256 Sqn. on February 10 1941. Due to night fighter service of the unit the day camouflage scheme was
modified by application of Special Night matt black colour on the undersurfaces. The same colour was applied on the rest of surfaces but here the
original dark green/dark earth camouflage bleeded from under the black colour on many places. The original black Seriál No. Was after application of
the Special night colour almost unvisible.

Hawker Hurricane Mk. I, DX*?, seriové èíslo W9200, 245 (Northen Rhodesia) sq. RAF. Pilot S/Ldr. J.W.C. Sipmson, duben èerven 1941, základna Aldergrove.
Na tomto Hurricanu získal S/Ldr. Simpson dva potvrzené noèní sestøely. První v noci ze 7/8.4.1941 (He 111), druhý v noci z 5/6.5.1941 (Ju 88A). Do konce války
S/Ldr. Simpson dosáhl 9 potvrzených sestøelù. (nìkteré prameny uvádìjí sestøelù 13)
Schéma zbarvení spodních ploch Hurricanù z tohoto období mìlo ètyøi rùzné podoby, které jsou zobrazeny v návodu. Z dostupných fotografií není jasné , které ze
schémat bylo použito na Hurricanu S/Ldr.Sipmsna.

S/Ldr Simpson scored two confirmed night victories with that aircraft: one He 111 in the night on April 7/8 1941 and one Ju 88A on May 5/6 1941. His final score
rose to 9 confirmed victories (or 13 confirmed accordind to some sources) to the V-Day.
There were four various colour schemes for the undersurfaces used for Hurricanes in that period whose are pictured here. It is not clear from available photos
which one was used on Simpson's Hurricane.

Dva ze tøí letounù Blenheim IF vybavených radarem AI.Mk.III dodaných 600 sq. RAF (známá seová èísla L1494 a L8669,
bohužel nelze zjistit konkrétní kódová oznaèení k jednotlivým seriový èíslùm).
S takto vybavenými Blenheimy bylo zaznamenáno nìkolika kontaktù s nepøítelem, avšak bez konkrétních výsledkù.
Zajímavostí je absence høbetní vìže s kulometem Vickers K u Blenheimu s kódovým oznaèením BQ*V
Bristol Blenheim Mk.IF, BQ*G (BQ*V), No. 600 Squadron RAF. Manston air base, turn 1939/40.
Two of three Blenheims Mk. IF equiped with AI. Mk. III radar were used by No. 600 Squadron. Their Serial Nos. were
L1494 and L8669. Unfortunately it is not known which code letters belonge to Serial Nos.
There were some contacts with enemy planes recorded using such a Blenheims but without specific results.
Note the absence of the Vickers K gun turret on Blenheim with code letters BQ*V
