Carlsbad Convention Bureau, o.p.s. is a non-profiting organization which was established
to include Karlovy Vary and the Karlovy Vary Region in the list of prestige destinations where
MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Events/Exhibitions) events and presentations of
the Karlovy Vary region are held, showing them as important congress destinations. Its main
activities include the preparation, production and complete organization of MICE events.
The Czech Republic is a landlocked country located in Central Europe; its
neighbors are Germany, Poland, Slovakia and Austria.

The Czech Republic consists of two historical areas: Bohemia in the west,
which is mostly hilly, and Moravia in the east, which has mountains in the
north and lowlands in the south.

The Pardubice Region Offers Great Opportunities
for Convention Tourism
EAST BOHEMIA
The area of East Bohemia is located on the border between Bohemia and Moravia in the north-eastern part
of the Czech Republic and includes the territory of the
Pardubice Region. The entire region has been dynamically
developing, and this applies also to convention tourism.
New modern convention centers with high accommodation and catering capacities are being built. Naturally, they
also offer facilities for accompanying sports, cultural and
relaxation activities.
Thanks to its extensive offer of quality services, the Pardubice Region is the ideal place for holding medium-sized
events. Accommodation can be arranged in three-star and
four-star hotels that have conference rooms and can provide full conference services. Another advantage of this region is its easy accessibility by road, train and plane.
The region also offers a whole range of tourist attractions
that offer a respite from business activities and can make
the official portion of conventions and other events more
interesting. A list of places that is worth visiting definitely
must include the town of Litomyšl with its unique castle
registered in the UNESCO World Heritage List, located
about 50 kilometers from Pardubice. The region’s capital,
Pardubice, also has a lot to offer.

helps to coordinate convention tourism in the Pardubice

Why is Brno and South Moravia

The tourist region of Eastern Moravia has a rich experience with
congress and business clientele. The regional capital Zlín, built in
functionalist style, offers modern venues of a dynamic university
town. The nearby spa town of Luhačovice is popular for its compactness and wide scale of congress and incentive offers. Every year,
Luhačovice hosts dozens of conferences, congresses and meetings,
each attended by 100 to 400 participants.

Johann Mendel, whose 190th anniversary we celebrate
this year, discovered the laws of genetic here. The city
is dubbed “Moravian Silicon Valley” today. This is due

The Pilsen Region is situated

CULTURE
German, Jewish and Czech cultures have intermingled in the Czech
Republic over the centuries resulting in a rich and diverse culture
complete with distinctive art, music and literature. The Czech contribution to music has been of notable international importance.
Bedřich Smetana and Antonín Dvořák became famous, not only as

Château Liblice is one the most perfect Czech baroque
style sights of Italian architect Giovanni Battista
Alliprandi, who in the year of 1699 worked out a personal
project by order of the Earl Arnošt Pachta from Rájov.
Under the European Union’s sponsorship, the
castle’s extensive reconstruction, by which the
mansion was converted into a contemporary
