Ve starobylém městě Polná v srdci Vysočiny (první písemná zmínka 1242) žije v současné době 5000 obyvatel. Místo zůstavilo budoucím generacím množství památek a obdivuhodná přírodní zákoutí v nejbližším okolí.
In der altertümlichen und im Herzen des
Hochlands gelegenen Stadt Polná (erste
schriftliche Erwähnung aus dem Jahre 1242),
leben heutzutage 5000 Einwohner. Der Ort

Denkmäler und eine wunderschöne Natur in
der näheren Umgebung hinterlassen.
The first mention of Polná, a town in the
heart of Vysočina (Highlands), dates back to
1242. At present, its population counts 5,000
inhabitants. The town has conserved a considerable number of historical sites surrounded by enchanting natural enclaves for future generations.

The Baroque curate’s school with the dean’s quarters and the graveyard St. Barbara Church
form the dominants of the town’s northern district.

Sezimovo náměstí bývá označováno za lokalitu nejstaršího osídlení města. Přes sérii
požárů lze v dnešní době obdivovat i gotickou
kapli sv. Anny s přilehlou budovou špitálu.
Der Sezimovo-Platz wird gemeinhin als
ältester besiedelter Platz der Stadt angesehen. Trotz einer Reihe von Bränden können
wir auch heute noch die gotische St.-AnnenKapelle mit dem anliegenden Spitalgebäude
bewundern.
Sezimovo Náměstí is believed to have
been the site of the town’s historically oldest
settlement. Despite a number of fire incidents over the centuries, the admirable Gothic St. Anne’s Chapel and the adjacent hospital have been spared to the present.
La place Sezimovo náměstí est souvent
désignée comme une localité du plus ancien peuplement de la ville. Malgré une série
d’incendies, même aujourd’hui on peut admirer la chapelle gothique Sainte-Anne avec
le bâtiment adjacent de l’hôpital.
V rekonstruovaném renesančním a barokním areálu hradu a zámku, který se vypíná nad hladinou rozsáhlého rybníka Peklo, nalezly sídlo městské muzeum a základní umělecká škola.

sich über die Wasserfläche des ausgedehnten Teiches Peklo erhebt, haben Stadtmuseum und

Following complete reconstruction of the castle and chateau’s Renaissance and Baroque
buildings, situated on elevated area over the large Peklo (Hell) Lake, were converted into the
Municipal Museum and an Elementary School of the Arts.

Původní židovské osídlení zanechalo ve městě výrazné stopy. V synagoze uvnitř bývalého
ghetta jsou dnes instalovány expozice Regionálního židovského muzea.
Die ursprüngliche jüdische Siedlung hat deutliche Spuren in der Stadt hinterlassen. In der
Synagoge innerhalb des ehemaligen Ghettos befindet sich heute die Dauerausstellung des
Regionalen Jüdischen Museums.
The former Jewish settlement left distinct imprints in the town. Today, the Synagogue in
former Jewish district’s middle houses the exhibits of the Regional Jewish Museum.

Děkanský chrám Nanebevzetí Panny Marie, národní kulturní památka, je jedním z největších
