According to the first preserved mention, the village of Truskovice was founded in 1274. The name of Truskovice is derived from the Truska‘s people (Truska‘s Court). It may have also sounded as Truska or Struska. The oldest mention of the village is connected with the names of the noblemen of Rudolf and Budislav of Truskovice as witnesses on a document from 1274. The same noblemen probably attended the proper assembly of all estates of the Bohemian Kingdom in Prague on about New Year 1281, where the Czech noblemen confirmed their loyalty to the King‘s trustee, the Margrave Ota of Branibory. The other mention of the village dates back to 6 March 1384 when Petr of Truskovice defended agreement with the Chalupa v jižních Čechách The village of Mičovice lies about 13 km to the east of the district town of Prachatice. It consists of five local parts: Mičovice, Frantoly, Jáma, Klenovice and Ratiborova Lhota, which lie in the subalpine to mountain relief from 564 metres (Ratiborova Lhota) to 708 metres (Klenovice) and 720 metres (Frantoly) above sea level . The begin- nings of the village date back to the first half of the fourteenth century when it was founded as a village in the region which belonged to the Golden Crown Monastery. Ancient inhabitants made their living by farming and forest production, there were craftsmen working in the village. In Mičovice, a school was built in 1886 which served its purpose for less than 100 years. In the village centre in Mičovice there is Virgin Mary‘s Chapel from 1886 and a small niche chapel. The most important monument in the village is Church of St. Philip and St. Jacob in Frantoly dating back to the beginning of the 14th century. After the fire in 1754, it was rebuilt in the Baroque style two years later. Klenovice is a regular village of the mountainous village-square type with a house containing a rural Baroque gable. The subalpine and sometimes also mountainous character of the village predestines it for tourism. In Klenovice there is a wayside cross in front of the village. Jáma is a small village with a tidy village square located on both sides of the Melhutka Stream below the mountainous massif of Doubrava. In the village square there is a small chapel and a wayside cross. In Ratiborova Lhota there is a nice chapel by the entry to the village. Vodice 23, Vodice, tel.: 388 321 356 Kapacita 10 lůžek, 2 ložnice po pěti, kuchyňka, společenský pokoj, terasa, internet Na druhém konci vesnice stojí další kaplička U Jána. Nejstarší nálezy z krtelské lokality se nachází v Krtelském lese – řada mohylových pohřebišť z pravěku i z doby, kdy zde sídlili Slované. It has a beautiful dam with huge centuries-old oak trees. When coming to Malovice, you are welcome by St. John of Nepomuk Chapel. Podeřiště, the lowest-lying municipality in the Prachatice District (410 metres above sea level). In the centre of the village square there is Virgin Mary‘s Chapel. Poděhusy Castle used to stand on the rock above the former mill. It is first mentioned in the testament of Vok of Rožmberk dated 1262. In 1421, Jan Žižka captured the castle and burned it down. It has not been restored. The history of the Holečkov settlement is not long; it was founded in 1923-1925. In September 1925, the settlement was festively opened by the South-Bohemian writer Josef Holečkov of Stožice - therefore the name Holečkov. In the village there is St. Joseph‘s Chapel, the memorial stone remembering foundation of the settlement. Krtely lies below Libějovický Hill. The village spans around a large village square with St. Ann‘s Chapel and a pond. In the forest towards Velký Bor there is Holy Trinity Chapel with a healing spring. At the other end of the village there is another chapel - U Jána Chapel. The oldest findings from the Krtely location come from Krtely Forest - a number of tumular burial sites from the Primeval Age and from the times when the Slavs settled here. Rábín is an agricultural area with a building of the former late Renaissance castle (17th century), which is obvious in the remnants of the sgraffito decoration. In the yard there are two farm buildings from the time when the court belonged to the Schwarzenbergs. In the main passage to the court there is a memorial plaque remembering František Horský, the great promoter of an agricultural reform, the director of the Czech rural school in Rábín. Floriána a sv. Obec Malovice je sídlem obecního úřadu, pod jehož správu spadají obce Malovice, Malovičky, Podeřiště, Krtely, osady Holečkov a Hradiště a dvůr Rábín (celkem 640 obyvatel). Obec Malovičky vznikla rozdělením Malovic na Horní a Dolní Malovice – Malovice a Malovičky. O rozdělení se dovídáme v letech 1542–1545. Rybník, který Malovičky oblévá z jižní strany, založil v 16. století Vilém z Rožmberka. Nese jméno Horní malovický. Další rybník, Otrhanec, leží u příjezdové cesty z Malovic. Má nádhernou hráz s obrovskými staletými duby. Při příjezdu z Malovic vás vítá kaple sv. Jana Nepomuckého. Podeřiště, nejníže položená obec v prachatickém okresu (410 m n. m.). Uprostřed návsi stojí kaple Panny Marie. Na skále nad bývalým mlýnem stával hrad Poděhusy. Poprvé se připomíná v závěti Voka z Rožmberka z r. 1262. Roku 1421 Jan Žižka hrad dobyl a vypálil. K jeho obnově již nedošlo. Historie osady Holečkov není dlouhá, byla založena v letech 1923–1925. V září roku 1925 osadu slavnostně otevřel jihočeský spisovatel Josef Holeček ze Stožic – odtud název Holečkov. Ve vsi je kaplička sv. Josefa, pamětní kámen připomínající založení osady. Krtely leží pod Libějovickým vrchem. Vesnice se rozprostírá kolem velké návsi s kaplí sv. Anny a rybníkem. Krumlovská 68, Lhenice, tel.: 388 321 245 Kapacita 8 lůžek, 3 pokoje po dvou, obývák It is located about 5 km southeast of the Vodňany township. The municipality of Libějovice dates back to the 13th century. There are remnants of Slavonic mounds in the environs. The first exact records date back to 1264 when Tomáš of Ljubějovice is mentioned. Later, several famous clans took turns in Libějovice: the Malovec clan, the Rožmberk clan, the Švamberk clan, the Buquoy clan and the Schwarzenberg clan. In the territory of Libějovice you can find: The Old Castle - originally a stronghold, the New Castle later till 1948 the College of the Redemptorists, the New Court, the Former Mill, the Castle Park, which includes the natural reserve of „Libějovice Park“. It spreads out in the very attractive countryside, in close contact with the Bohemian Forest massif and among the most important tourist centres of South Bohemia: České Budějovice, Písek and Prachatice. For several centuries, the natural and climatic conditions have made it possible for the local farmers to grow fruit, which gave rise to the Chelčice-Lhenice fruit-growing region. With regards to this local specific, the ChelčiceLhenice micro-region was established on the motion of the municipalities and fruit growers. Then the Civic Society of South Bohemian Garden in Blossom - Local Action Group was established through it. From the very beginning of its existence, it ranked amount the first and the most active societies of this type within the South Bohemian Region. The society was successful particularly in programs of the LEADER type. Through the Chelčice-Lhenice micro-region, the Festivities of Flowers are organized in May and the Festivities of Fruit in November thanks to the beautiful nature and the fruit-growing tradition. Investiční záměry obec dlouhodobě realizuje zejména prostřednictvím Programu obnovy venkova, grantových programů vyhlašovaných Jihočeským krajem, strukturálních fondů a jiných dotačních titulů. V roce 2007 navázala obec prostřednictvím Dispozičních fondů Intereg III A první kontakty s ovocnářskými oblastmi Lallinger Winkel ve Spolkové republice Německo a Mostviertel v Rakousku. Významnou součástí života obce je její kulturní a společenský život. V obci působí občanské sdružení Mája – Tvořivé Chelčice, které usiluje o rozvoj společenských, zájmových, vzdělávacích a kulturních aktivit obce a jejího okolí. However, in the half of the 13th century, Přemysl Otakar II donated it with its environs to the newly established Golden-Crown Monastery. The first mention of Lhenice dates back to 1283. The village was a part of the Golden-Crown Monastery till 1420. Also the existence of the Lhenice Church is documented from the pre-Hussite times when ten neighbouring villages were managed from the present village magistrate. In 1544, the Czech King Ferdinand I issued a document in Prague, by which he promoted the then village of Lhenice to a township. He granted a coat-ofarms to it, the right to seal with green wax, the freedom to hold fairs. In 1511, Lhenice was assigned to William of Rožmberk. The township was owned by the Rožmberk Clan till 1600. In 1622, the Emperor Ferdinand II donated the dominion of Netolice with Lhenice to Jan Oldřich of Eggenberk. The township was held by the clan till 1719 when their successors were the Schwarzenbergs. In 1848, serfdom was abolished and the hundred-year-old era of feudalism was replaced by capitalism. The township was free and in 1849 it became a part of the sub-regional authority seated in Prachatice. From 1855, Lhenice was a part of the newly formed Netolice District and from 1868 they were annexed to administration of the Prachatice District. In 1945, the township was liberated by the 26th infantry division of the United States‘ Army. After the hardship of WWII, the township started to blossom to its present look. St. Jacob‘s Church, the most significant monument in Lhenice, was rebuilt in the Baroque style in the half of the 18th century. The Lhenice landmark is the newly reconstructed Renaissance manor house, originally a yeomanly stronghold. The building of the former townhall - built in the style of South-Bohemian Folk Baroque - was reconstructed several times and at present it serves to the needs of the library. Above the township by a forest there is the Cemetery by St. John the Baptist. The Way to Calvary is located in the natural environment above the town by a forest. Its origins date back to the second half of the 19th century. The basis for the Way to Calvary is made up of Chapel in Brabce. In 2000, the way was repaired again. The „U Pepíčků“ lime tree in Lhenice is over 270 years old. It became a symbol of the old times and it has overlooked the life of the township and the fortunes of people living in it for three centuries. A preserved chronicle comes from 1872. The municipality of Chelčice is the birthplace of the world-famous Middle-Ages religious reformer and philosopher Petr Chelčický (1390–1460) who was refusing any violence and in agreement with the New Testament he only recognized spiritual fight for rehabilitation of human life. His ideas became the philosophic basis for the famous Unity of the Brethren. In 2009, the Memorial of Petr Chelčický was created in the premises of a historical granary. The landmark of Chelčice is the St. Martin‘s Church. The original Romanesque church was built in the 12th century. The municipality boasts about the title of the South-Bohemian Village of the Year that it received in 2000. Then, Chelčice took the third position in the national round of the prestigious competition. Chelčice with its environs ranks among the few historically documented areas in South Bohemia with a big tradition of fruit growing. The fruit-growing tradition dates back to as early as the 19th century. Fruit orchards started to be planted on free ground in 1967. The newest varieties of apple trees, cherry trees, wild-cherry trees, plum trees, strawberries, pear trees and currants are grown here. Also, Chelčice are known throughout the country for its development and application of biological methods in protection of fruit orchards. At present, 329 inhabitants live in Chelčice. Since 1999, the Bulletin of the Municipality of Chelčice has been published, available at the municipality website (www.chelcice.cz). The municipality realizes its investment plans particularly through the Rural Development Policy, subsidy programs announced by the South-Bohemian Regional Authority, structural funds and the other grant titles. In 2007, the municipality established the first contacts with the fruit-growing regions of Lallinger Winkel in the Federative Republic of Germany and Mostviertel in Austria through the Disposition Funds Intereg III A. An important part of life of the municipality is its cultural and social life. There is the civic society Mája - Creative Chelčice active in the municipality which strives for development of leisure, educational and cultural activities of the municipality and its environs. With regards to the fact that Chelčice is located in the picturesque countryside of the Czech Forest foothills, there are also many options to take trips to its environs - nearby Free Bavorov or Libějovice Mountains. You can take the Zeyer‘s Track through the four-lane alley from the Royal Town of Vodňany through Chelčice around St. Mary‘s Magdalene Chapel and the Libějovice Castle to the Pilgrimage Place of Virgin Mary in Lomec. Within a reach of whole-day biking trips there are other possible destinations, such as Bavorov -ruin of the Helfenburk – Volyně Castle, Netolice – Castle Kratochvíle – Prachatice, Plástovice – Zbubovská Blata – Bezdrev – Hluboká Podeřiště, Marie Vaníčková, tel.: 388 324 570 osamělá sklála, balvan isolated rock, boulder allein stehender Felsen, Felsblock Investitionsvorhaben realisiert die Gemeinde langfristig insbesondere mithilfe des „Programm zum Wiederaufbau des Landes“, durch das Land Südböhmen erklärte Subventionsprogramme, Strukturfonds sowie durch andere Dotationstitel. Prostřednictvím Chelčicko-Lhenického mikroregionu jsou organizovány v souvislosti s nádhernou přírodou a ovocnářskými tradicemi v květnu Slavnosti květů a v říjnu a listopadu Slavnosti plodů. Two chapels - St. Florian‘s Chapel and St. John of Nepomuk‘s Chapel - are located in the integrated Dolní Ves (Lower Village). The environs of Truskovice are characteristic for numerous ponds; hemp used to be grown here.
