The Line Galleries Prague – Karlin – Viaduct wants to draw attention to the exceptional potential and
value of Negrelli's Viaduct. This project by CCEA is dedicated to the experimenting between art,
architecture and public interest, and wants to open the topic of this space for culture and the city. The
main part of the project will be exhibitions of selected Prague's galleries, curators and artists.
Participating in the Line Galleries project are: A.M.180 Gallery, Ferdinand Baumann Gallery, Divus,
Drdova Gallery, Gallery Patricia Milano, NTK Gallery, Futura, MeetFactory, Svit and Tranzitdisplay,
who will create their site-specific installations under the arches of Negrelli's Viaduct in between the
streets Křižíkova and Sokolovská. Some of them will be of permanent character and will remain on
spot even after the Line Galleries project is finished, thus exceeding the three-day limit of the event.
CCEA wants to test the possibilities of Negrelli's Viaduct with the project. The viaduct will be open for
public for three days 19. - 21. 9. 2013. The space under the arches will then serve for galleries,
projections, bar, concerts, workshops, theatre, dance and culinary performances. The galleries are
participating also in the live cultural program and will take care of the concerts on Thursday 19.9.,
Mlsná kavka will have a culinary show. To give more examples of what is to happen under the Karlin’s
Viaduct - Prague Modern ensamble, Ponec theatre, Sváťovo Theatre and Theatre S.d.Ch. will perform
on Friday 20.9. And Saturday 21.9. will be dedicated to Easterndaze Presents: Central European
musical mix, during which will perform musicians from Poland, Hungary and Slovakia. Through the
tours guided by Richard Biegel (21.9. 15 00) and Vladimir 518 (19.9. 17 00) and the artistic
interpretation, galleries‘ exhibitions and cultural program people will have the oportunity to experience
how the Viaduct can be transformed. Part of the project is also the architectural workshop for students.
