Fire sport engrossed Municipal stadium in Ostrava. The
Championship is going to be till Saturday
Czech republic, Ostrava – The first day of the Championship in fire sport 2016 brought
the first results in the competitive discipline – ascent to IV.floor tranining tower. There
were several world records and really big surprises for the Czech representation. Mrs.
Kateřina Valachová, The Ministry of education, Miroslav Novák, President of the
Moravian – Silesian Region, and Tomáš Macura, the Mayor of Ostrava.
The final ascents and announcing of the results were the part of the Opening
ceremony. Ilona Csáková arrived to cheer the competitors of the 16 countries by her
music. She sang during the cultural programme of the Opening ceremony. Since
today, the sport events are moving to the Municipal stadium where all races will
continue till Saturday´s announcing of the final results and the finishing of the
Championship. Today there is a Running 100 m obstacle.
„We were pleased by the interest of public because a lot of people came and the area was
full of the observers. It was crowded. The cultural programme was excellent. It passed
fluently and Ilona Csáková warmed it perfectly. Daniel Klvaňa was the icing on the cake. We
had no basic problems and I would like to thank all people who organised the running of the
day, to hosts, competitors, The Puppet Theatre and their emploeers. The biggest thank to
the viewers who came to support us.“ Said Monika Němečková, the member of the
organising staff.
The Russian competitors ruled all the categories of Juniors Women. Younger category Diana
Omaeva, middle category Kaina Tishchenko and older Anna Starodymova. In Younger
Juniors Men Greogory Siutkin /Russia/ was first, middle category Alexander Zhdanyuk
/Belarus/. The Czech competitor Daniel Klvaňa won the older category. The favourites in this
category were the runners from Russia and Belarus.
In Czech history it is the second gold medal in the Juniors Men. Last year Lukáš Gerži won
the gold medal in Younger category and this year it is in Older category.
„ Daniel is tendering to be better and better. In last two years he has grown up and it is seen
that he is balanced and can motivate the team. Today we can see that our rivals will be the
competitors from Kazakhstan who have been bettering during the time.“ Said the
representant and trainer of the Czech team Jan Vráblík.
„ Weather, place and atmosphere among competitors was super and the running of the
Championship is really cool although there was such a short time to prepare the
competition.“ Said also Jan Vráblík.
The Russion competitors were also the best in category of Men and Woman. Ekaterina
Chendakova won the category Women and Roman Wagner won the category of Men.
Todays main favourites are the competitors of Russia and Belarus. The chances of the
Czech representatives should be higher compared to the yesterdays ones.
The fans can come to watch the sportsmen to the Municipal stadium where all the races are
held from 8:00 to 18:00. The entrance is free. There is also prepared the accompanying
programme for public, for example the scooters, exhibition of the Tatra Trucks etc.
