Learning outcomes:
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the specifics of the Nordic region lying in
the geopolitical space of northern Europe. We will focus on analyzing the development and
functioning of political systems of the Nordic countries - Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland
and Iceland. countries and forecast future scenarios.
Getting knowledge of the Nordic region, understand the specifics defined geopolitical space,
be able to analyze and understand the political system of selected countries.
Course content:
Historical development of the Nordic countries. Political systems of the region. Poltické and
social elite. Political culture. Future development trends.
