Science fiction and fantasy both explore other realities than our own. And in the sense that
either way what really matters in human nature, the difference is one of setting and
environment.
But there is a fundamental difference -- one of aspiration. Humanity can look forward to the
kinds of achievements postulated in science fiction, while with another part of our brain we
can dream of the impossibilities conjured by fantasy. Science fiction expands our world;
fantasy transcends it.

Hitchhiker´s Guide to the Galaxy
At the beginning I´d like to say that I read the book first and than I saw the movie, so my
opinion about the movie might be influenced by that.
I must say that I like the book more than the movie, because one of the things I love about the
book is its british humor and the movie is too „american“ for me. In my opinion the movie
would be much better if it would have been more like the book, without the whole Huma
Kuvula thing. True, it would be shorter, but I dont think that the point of a movie is to be
longer than 70 minutes or so. Also I think that the movie´s Zaphod was overacted. Yes, he
was supposed to be an idiot, but this was really too much.
All in all, the move was quite a disapointment to me. Also because a lot of it´s actors are my
favourite, like Martin Freeman (Arthur), Alan Rickman (Marvin´s voice), John Malkovich
(Huma Kuvula) and Bill Nighty (Slartibartfast), so my expectations were high.
However, reading the Guide encouraged me to read more Adams´s novels, make a plan to
buy two white mice and name them Frankie and Benjy and on the 25th of May celebrate the
Towel day by keeping my towel with me for the whole day just in case I should need one, for
as you know such simple thing as towel might come pretty handy when you´re hitchhiking a
starship.
