The South Moravian Region and its metropolis
Brno with its beautiful recreational area of the
Brno Dam will become the stage for a colourful
festival of entertainment and presentations at the end of May
and the beginning of June 2005. In many places under
the Špilberk and Veveří Castles, hundreds of thousands
of spectators will come to see hundreds of various shows and
performances. This will be a symbolic gesture of welcome that
the region and the city give to all of their visitors and
inhabitants at the beginning of the summer tourist season.
IGNIS BRUNENSIS (21 May - 3 June), the international fireworks
competition, will traditionally attract the greatest attention.
This year, spectacular shows will be given by fireworks
companies from the U.K., Portugal, Austria and the Czech
Republic. The competition fireworks shows will take place on
the water of the Brno Dam, the prelude at the Brno
Automotodrome and the grand finale over the Špilberk Castle
and the historical centre of Brno.

s nádhernou rekreační oblastí Brněnské
přehrady se stávají na přelomu května
a června 2005 dějištěm pestrého zábavního a prezentačního
festivalu. Na mnoha místech pod hrady Špilberk a Veveří
shlédnou statisíce diváků stovky různých pořadů a představení.
Jižní Morava a město Brno symbolicky otevřou přívětivou
náruč všem návštěvníkům i svým obyvatelům na počátku
letní turistické sezóny.
Tradičně největší pozornost přiláká mezinárodní soutěžní
přehlídka ohňostrojných show IGNIS BRUNENSIS (21. 5. - 3. 6.).
Světovou podívanou letos předvedou ohňostrojné společnosti
z Velké Británie, Portugalska, Rakouska a České republiky
– v soutěžní části uprostřed jezera Brněnské přehrady,
prelude na světoznámém Automotodromu a závěrečné
grandfinále nad hradem Špilberk nad historickým centrem Brna.
V dalších pořadech mohou návštěvníci strávit krásné chvíle
při večerní akci MUZEJNÍ NOC (20. 5.), kdy se s doprovodným
stylovým programem představí brněnská muzea a výstavní
prostory. Pro návštěvníky ze všech koutů České republiky,
Evropy i dalších míst je připraven další bohatý program pro
zábavu i poznání. Diváci uvidí desítky horkovzdušných
balónů při fiestě BALLOON JAM (1. – 5. 6.). Historické vlaky,
autobusy, tramvaje, trolejbusy, auta, motocykly představí
DOPRAVNÍ NOSTALGIE (4. - 5. 6.) v níž jsou zařazeny akce
k 75. výročí brněnského Masarykova okruhu. Historické
i současné pořady uvidí diváci také v centru Brna při ZÁBAVĚ
POD HRADBAMI (3. - 5. 6.) a LIDOVÉ HRADNÍ SLAVNOSTI
(5. 6.) na Špilberku. Příznivce automobilů uspokojí
mezinárodní veletrh AUTOSALON BRNO (4. - 9. 6.), který
navazuje s řadou doprovodných akcí na festival zábavy
uprostřed Evropy.
Visitors may chose to spend a nice evening at any of a number
of events of the MUSEUM NIGHT (20 May) project, which is
a presentation of Brno museums and galleries with a difference.
Other events prepared for the entertainment of visitors from
the Czech Republic, Europe and other parts of the world include
the BALLOON JAM (1 - 5 June) fiesta when dozens of hot-air
balloons will be launched. Historical trains, buses, trams,
trolleys, cars and motorcycles will be presented at the
TRANSPORT NOSTALGIA (4 - 5 June), which will also include
events for the 75th anniversary of Masaryk Racetrack in Brno.
Historical as well as contemporary shows will also be staged in
the FUN BENEATH THE CASTLE WALLS (3 - 5 June) in the centre
of Brno and the PEOPLE'S CASTLE FESTIVITIES (5 June) at
Špilberk. Automobile enthusiasts will be satisfied at the
international motor show AUTOSALON BRNO (4 - 9 June), where
a number of its accompanying events will be linked to the
Festival of Fun in the Centre of Europe.

So wie jedes Jahr wird der internationale Feuerwerkwettbewerb
IGNIS BRUNENSIS (21. 5. - 3. 6.) die meiste Aufmerksamkeit auf
sich lenken. Ihre Darbietungen auf Weltniveau werden dieses Jahr
Künstlergruppen aus Großbritannien, Portugal, Österreich und der
Tschechischen Republik präsentieren - der Wettbewerb selbst wird
sich inmitten der Brünner Talsperre abspielen, das einleitende
Präludium findet auf der weltberühmten Brünner Rennstrecke
(Automotodrom) statt, das abschließende Grandfinale können die
Besucher über der Burg Špilberk oberhalb des historischen
Stadtzentrums von Brno bestaunen.
Viele herrliche Momente können die Besucher auch bei anderen
Veranstaltungen verbringen - so z.B. bei der NÄCHTLICHEN
MUSEUMSFÜHRUNG (20. 5.), bei der sich die Brünner Museen und
Ausstellungsräume mit einem interessanten Begleitprogramm
vorstellen. Auf die zahlreichen Besucher aus allen Regionen der
Tschechischen Republik, aus Europa und sogar der Übersee wartet
ein buntes Programm, das nicht nur Unterhaltung, sondern auch
viel Interessantes und Neues verspricht. Die Zuschauer werden
Dutzende Heißluftballons bei ihrem Start in BALLOON JAM (1. - 5. 6.)
bestaunen können; historische Züge, Busse, Straßenbahnen,
Elektrobusse, Automobile und Motorräder werden anlässlich der
VERKEHRSNOSTALGIE (4. - 5. 6.) vorgestellt; zu diesem Programm
gehören auch viele Veranstaltungen, die anlässlich des
75. Jubiläums der Brünner Rennstrecke "Masaryk-Ring"
präsentiert werden. Historisches Programm sowie zahlreiche
Theaterveranstaltungen aus der Gegenwart können die Zuschauer
auch im Stadtzentrum bei der UNTERHALTUNG UNTER DEN
BURGMAUERN (3. - 5. 6.) und beim VOLKSTÜMLICHEN BURGFEST
(5. 6.) auf der Burg Špilberk besichtigen. Die Autofans werden
sicherlich die internationale Fachmesse AUTOSALON BRNO (4. - 9. 6.)
besuchen, die sich mit zahlreichen Begleitveranstaltungen an
diesem Unterhaltungsfestival inmitten Europas beteiligen wird.

...festival of fun under the Špilberk and Veveří Castles
IGNIS BRUNENSIS – několikadenní mezinárodní ohňostrojná
přehlídka probíhá v soutěžní části na hladině Brněnské přehrady.
V příjemném přírodním prostředí jsou pro diváky tisíce výhledových
ploch na březích jezera. Pro platící diváky je připravena ozvučená
tribuna v Rakovecké zátoce. Úvodní ohňostrojné prelude je umístěno
do areálu Masarykova okruhu na AUTOMOTODROMU, který je známý
spíše z mezinárodních motoristických soutěží. Letos si zde současně
připomeneme významné 75. výročí od uspořádání prvního závodu.
Závěrečné grandfinále připravené tradičně nad hradem Špilberk, završí
středoevropský ohňostrojný festival, který patří k největším svého
druhu v Evropě. Ohňostroje začínají vždy ve 22.30 hod. a potrvají asi
20 min. Představení jsou provázena komponovanou hudbou vysílanou
také synchronizovaně na vlnách místního rádia KISS HÁDY, což zaručuje
celoplošný hudební doprovod na všech výhledových místech na ohňostroje.
IGNIS BRUNENSIS - international fireworks competition staged
for several days. The competition displays are held on the water of
Brno Reservoir. The inviting natural setting along the banks of the
reservoir offers thousands of places where spectators may enjoy the
displays. A sound system will be installed at the stand erected at
Rakovec Bay for paying spectators. The opening firework prelude will
take place at the AUTOMOTODROME of Masaryk Racetrack, which is
better known as a venue of international car races. This year, the
festival will also be an opportunity to celebrate the 75th anniversary
of the firs race held there. The grand finale, traditionally over the
Špilberk Castle, will be the culmination of the Central European
Fireworks Festival, one of the biggest events of its kind in Europe.
Each firework show will take place at 10.30 p.m. and last about
20 minutes. The shows are accompanied with background music that
is at the same time also broadcast over the KISS HÁDY radio, which
guarantees that the background music can be enjoyed everywhere
throughout of the event.
IGNIS BRUNENSIS – diese mehrtägige internationale Feuerwerkshow findet
in ihrem Wettbewerbsteil an der Wasserfläche der Brünner Talsperre statt. In
der schönen Umgebung inmitten der herrlichen Natur warten auf die Besucher
zahlreiche Aussichtsplätze an den Ufern des Stausees. Für zahlende Besucher
wird eine Tribüne in der Bucht Rakovecká zátoka aufgestellt, die mit HighTech-Tontechnik ausgestattet wird. Das einleitende Feuerwerkpräludium findet
auf dem Rennstreckengelände des Masaryk-Rings statt (AUTOMOTODROM), der
eher aus dem internationalen Renngeschehen bei vielen Fans bekannt ist.
Dieses Jahr werden wir hier zudem das 75. Jubiläum des ersten Rennens feiern.
Das abschließende Grandfinale, das wie jedes Jahr über der Burg Špilberk
stattfindet, beendet dann das Feuerwerkfestival inmitten Europas, das zu
den größten Feuerwerkfestivals seiner Art in Europa gehört. Die
Feuerwerkdarbietungen beginnen stets um 22.30 Uhr und dauern jeweils ca.
20 Minuten. Die Feuerwerksinszenierungen werden von herrlichen
Musikkompositionen begleitet, die synchron auch auf den Rundfunkwellen des
örtlichen Senders KISS HÁDY gesendet werden - somit wird eine einwandfreie
musikalische Begleitung gewährleistet.
