Frekvenční příslovce
 říkají nám, jak často se něco děje
always = vždy
usually = obvykle
often = často
sometimes = někdy
hardly ever = velmi zřídka (skoro nikdy)
never = nikdy
 ve větě stojí obvykle mezi podmětem a přísudkem nebo po
slovese “to be”
např. I always do my homework when I come home from school.
Young people often read the books.
My teacher is usually very helpful.
Ostatní příslovce
 tvoří se od přídavných jmen přidáním přípony –ly
např. bad (špatný)
badly (špatně)
quick (rychlý)
quickly (rychle)
slow (pomalý)
slowly (pomalu)
easy (snadný)
easily (snadno)
 některá jsou nepravidelná
např. hard (tvrdý, těžký)
fast (rychlý)
late (pozdní)
