Men from Boys - Brethren Fast
Men from Boys
by John Harvey
While a young man returns home from work, he notices a man running along the street. Seems innocent enough,
though the man is no runner and his demeanour is more panic than exercise. When he notices something tossed
in the bushes, he becomes even more curious and goes to investigate. What he finds and the fallout from it leads
him to test his patience, willpower, and sense of family. Who is this running man and what is he doing out, after
midnight?
Great short story, Mr. Connelly, and wonderful twist in the end.|Uneven but still plenty of good stuff. Don
Winslow's story reminded me how much I like his stuff, and James Sallis sufficiently intrigued me. Pelecanos did
note-perfect Pelecanos. All in all not a waste of my time.|Některé povídky byly zajímavé, jiné méně, ale je fajn
poznat styl jiných autorů :)|I would prefer to rate this 3.5 stars. When will we get the half star option?
